I had to watch it twice to realize that World and Olympic uneven bars champion He Kexin's routine in team finals at the Chinese Championships took place entirely on the high bar. Isn't there a deduction for that? Then again, she did only score 14.65...

Wow. That's really odd. Something is not right with her. She's looking really tired and labored. Even her Jaeger combo looks forced and tedious, and she used to do it so effortlessly.
Could the end of the age of He be upon us?
Yup, she loses .5 because she doesn't satisfy the composition requirement of having a transition form high to low.
For those wondering, He Kexin just recently recovered from a broken hand/finger and has not had that much time to train or get back into shape. She'll be fine for World's, though. This routine was a precaution.
Thanks, Anonymous. I hope the injury and lack of recovery time is what's making her set look so rough, and that she's not losing her edge.
getting to the ripe ol' age of 15 is tough for some, sad thing for a one eventer
Lol my thoughts exactly :)
Actually, that's about right. She is missing 0.5 for no low bar-high bar change, 0.5 for no high bar-low bar change, 0.1-0.4 for no Pak salto, and 0.2 for the connection of Cappucitti (Jaeger straight) to Pak -- i.e 1.3-1.6, the other stuff she does on the LB doesn't factor into her difficulty points. So a 16-ish score if the Pak & LB stuff are well done is a normal score for her.
I saw a summary of it on CCTV5 on the weekend, but no coverage because of basketball worlds. Constantly basketball ...
