New gun rights resource in the DMV: Virginia Gun Owners Forum

VGOF motto:  Freedom Isn't Free - Buy a Gun

OK, OK - DMV stands for DC-Maryland-Virginia, as I learned recently from my teenage daughter.  Apparently that is how the modern youth/pop culture refers to the DC Metro region.

In any event, and especially since DC residents still have to travel to Virginia or Maryland to pick out guns under DC's Rube-Goldberg gun registration scheme, the DMV now has yet another pro-gun source of information and cyberspace assembly area for gun owners. The Virginia Gun Owners Forum (VGOF) started up in March 2009 and its owner Rick Sandlin says the site already has

"over 700 members strong with more than 21,000 forum posts.  We are dedicated
to helping people, Virginians in particular, to understand local, state and
national firearms laws regarding open carry and concealed carry.  I am the
owner of the site and I started VaGunForum.net when I was attempting to
educate myself on the laws and regulations related to carrying a firearm in
Virginia.  We average over 100 posts and between 70 and 100 active users logging on every day."

Sandlin has issued a press release about VGOF and is particularly proud of the VGOF Marketplace which he says "provides a place for people within the Commonwealth of Virginia to conduct local firearm purchases, trades and sales."

Let's go DMV gun owners - check out http://vagunforum.net today!
