So it seems Mexican cartel weapons are making their way north to the U.S. From the AP via MSNBC:
It was a scenario U.S. law enforcement had long feared: A fragmentation grenade from Mexico's bloody drug war tossed into a public place.
The "public place"?
A bar in south Texas.
Where did the grenade come from?
South Korea.
How did the Mexicans get them?
The United States and South Korea rank as the top two producers of the grenades seized in Mexico, according to the ATF.
Here's the thing: The U.S. government adheres to very strict ITAR regulations for munitions transfers to foreign entities. South Korea, as an ally and beneficiary of American military support, also complies with arms controls in its international dealings. Congress even certified it.
Which means: There are either corrupt elements in the U.S. and South Korean governments skirting the audited systems and allowing arms shipments to unauthorized private individuals, and/or the corruption lies with the Mexican government.
This isn't the first time we've discussed the impact of authorized weapons exports in the equation.
And just a few days ago, we were wondering if some machine guns seized in the U.S. might not have come from the government-controlled supply chain.
The picture sure is shaping up to look a lot different than we were initially led to believe, isn't it? And we all remember why we were being led to believe that?

Corruption in GOVERMENT?!?! Is there anything else in government?
Well, there's fraud, misfeasance, malfeasance, treason, deprivation of civil rights under color of law, racketeering, massive theft (in a rainbow of flavors), intimidation, murder, election fraud (many sorts), and I'm probably forgetting a few (thousand). But don't worry, they're from the government, and they're here to help. (snort)
Now, someone with more knowledge of such things than I please help out here. Don't grenades have at the very least lot numbers, which should be traceable? So, whether they want to admit it or not, somebody among the "Men Who Would be Kings" must know where they came from. For that matter, those "machine guns" they were on about a couple of weeks ago should have serial numbers, and those definitely have fair odds of being traceable. Might be real interesting to file a FOIA request for that information. ("We cannot disclose.. ongoing investigation... blah blah blah yadda yadda")
By far, the largest supplier of weapons to "banana republics" is China, though Russia is not far behind. The reason is to destabilize democracies so that communism may flourish. Since we do not sell grenades OTC in the US it is not likely that honest US citizens are the source. Likewise, South Koreans do not buy grenades OTC so it is not likely that they are the source of Korean manufactured grenades.
It is very common for communist governments to obscure the fact that they are the source of arms by not labeling weapons as manufactured in a communist regime. Sometimes they falsely label arms as having been made in other countries when they were not. Sometimes the arms supplied were actually manufactured in a Democratic Country and got to the revolutionaries via black market international arms suppliers, were stolen from the military, or are sometimes "surplus" weapons legally bought and then re directed to areas of conflict by a secretive intermediary. The obvious intent is to point
The obvious intent is to point a finger at Democratic governments rather than to the real source.
It is sad that our own honest US citizens are being scape goated as the suppliers of weapons in Mexico, but worse that many of our own elected official knowingly promote that falsehood. What better way to eliminate Democracy in the Americas' than to play footsie with the Commies.
Did you really believe the Cold War was over, foolish rabbit!
Now, children. Let's not become obstreporous. Who could have ever figured that GOVERNMENTS are the cause of the up-arming of the Mexican drug cartels?
Ok, rhetorical question, I admit it. We all knew it. But that doesn't fit the agenda of our own would-be slavemasters. The more crises they can manufacture the more noble their language and the more despicable their intentions.

Lot numbers are fine - unless the dang thing has already blown up...let me know how the jigsaw puzzle works out for ya...:-)
These stories have been noting siezures of large stockpiles of weapons. Now, agreed, the one that was detonated in a bar in Texas is quite a bit tougher to trace, though I doubt impossible. I kinda figure if you trace the ones that were siezed, though, that should give you a pretty good lead on the one(s) that were used.
Theres a very good chance that these grenades and at least some of the other munitions are coming from US intelligent sources mainly the CIA.
These munitions are being used as bargaining chips in an undercover/infiltration/takeover operation of the drug cartels by the CIA.
According to chatter, US ammo supplies are also finding there way into the hands of afghan fighters via CIA sources for the same reason.
Plus we have the Machiavelli factor.
The Elite needs and uses violence to maintain the fear/control factor.
I would like to make my comments at KABA but the paid trolls stopped that source of networking by making threats to defuse the site.
