Here's the Facebook photo in question for teacher Betsy Ramsdale that precipitated all the brouhaha:
And here's a video report:
I just love the moralistic tone the reporter assumes at the end:
It was accessible to anyone who put her into a Google search including school students.
Horrors! And it's all so difficult to understand. Just ask parent Jennifer Buzzell.
"I don't think it's appropriate...I'm not sure why this would be on the computer at all."
There's a simple explanation, Jennifer. Ramsdale "happens to be a gun enthusiast."
Oh...ewwww...one of those...
And while the WKOW (great name for KUD-chewers, eh?) 27 News Team couldn't reach the teacher's union for comment, there is one positive development:
The ACLU of Wisconsin is defending a Beaver Dam teacher who was put on administrative leave after she posted a questionable photo on her Facebook page.
Go get 'em, lefties!
Now the day we see the ACLU come around on Second Amendment grounds, that'll be a real triumph. But until then, I'll take what I can get.
As an aside, say every teacher was known to be a gun enthusiast, and the absurd, evil laws declaring schools Harris/Klebold Empowerment Zones were finally relegated to the museum of barabaric historical curiosities in which they belong...
Y'know, I don't even want to go there. I think Ms. Buzzell has had enough excitement for one day.

Comments
One of the reporters didn't seem too unbiased at the end when he said, "Ok, that's the concern there." Like, oh, it makes sense now why they suspended her.
This teacher should invite her students on a field trip to the local gun range for a shooting good time! Let the students go home and tell their parents how much fun they had.
What kind of rifle is that? Nothing about it strikes me as particularly familiar and it's a grainy shot. If that's a bore, not a optic, than it'd be a shotgun or better. Some form of video game controller? Pardon me for not keeping up with the youngsters and their toys and gear.
A perfect way for her to ease into teaching about the Bill of Rights.
After careful study I find nothing illegal, immoral, or even provocative about Ms Ramsdale's photo. In fact, for the life of me, I can't identify the weapon as any I've personally ever seen.
But wait! If she hadn't been wearing that red sweater for the photo, one just might be able to see a portion of a bra strap. Oh! My God!
The Rifle or shotgun or whatever it is caught my attention immediately, I wonder what it is?
What's the big deal with the pic? The paranoia some people have with guns is absolutely shocking to me. My wife is an Educator, good thing this school didn't see her shooting my AR-15 @ the range when she was pregnant...GASP! and enjoying every pull of the trigger.
Oh no....looks like Im going to have to give the ACLU a pat on the back if they seriously get involved with this case.
As a former teacher gun owner, hunter, and CCW holder good in 39 states, I think I will post a picture like that of myself with firearm today. Happy to celibrate the constitution. You wosses of school employees need to get a grip of yourself and change your wet panties.
Looks like a shotgun with a pistol grip.
So she likes to hunt birds in the farm fields in the fall.
I wouldn't have put the pic up w/the gun pointing at the camera/person taking the pictures, but that's me and even tho' she did it, evidently no animals were harmed. Guns are legal for now. She probably didn't sign an "I don't own a gun or know anyone who does" statement to get the job. It's harmless. It's not like the picture can reach out and shoot you. Looks like a rampant yeast infection at the school.
Vagisil, anyone?
C'mon People! How much more of this bullshit are we going to take?! The schools have been telling our children how bad America is, burn the flag, it's O. K. to be gay, guns are bad, and it's all the Dead White Guy's fault. The leftist/socialist/communist tells us we have to live by the "rules" and they define what the "rules" are (subject to "change" at a moments notice). Progressives my Ass. Let's go back to the good old days when being American was not a "hate" crime. I've had my fill. Tell you what, lefties; you want my guns, you'll get 'em two ways: (1) hot, and (2) empty. Your "Gun Free School Safety Zones" have been such a resounding success, ala Virginia Tech, Columbine, and too many other slaughter zones to count. You morons are getting REAL close to finding out just where our breaking point is. We, the People, own this country, and you're not going to like how it works out.
WOW. Thank god she wasn't holding a bible or-horrors-a copy of the constitution. Now that would have been really bad.
Don't you people have anything better to do? your kids are sending naked pic of themselves to each other on their cell phones, texting test answers and texting their drug dealers. Try some parenting. Leave the teacher alone
