Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership has just released a compelling new documentary, "No Guns for Negroes."
We've spoken of this project before, along with the subject of gun ownership and race.
It is simply not possible to have liberty in a society where some are disenfranchised of their rights--as is the case in most of urban America as far as the right to keep and bear arms is concerned. The bad people have whatever weapons they want, and the people who obey the laws are relegated by edict into the disarmed victim pool. So I believe it is important to spread this video as far and wide as possible.
Some may say the politics of "gun control" reflects the leadership the affected populace wants. I would remind them that rights are not subject to majority rule--five of us can't get together and force four of you to convert to our religion, or to self-incriminate. Likewise, we should not be able to compel any peaceable person to disarm.
And it also goes without saying that much of the support for "gun control" can be attributed to the one-sidedness of the flow of information from opportunistic political leaders and a complicit media that is hostile to gun ownership. Most people have simply never considered the racist origins and continued race-based application of citizen disarmament.
Most people are unaware of the slave codes, that maintained:
Slaves cannot use any weapon, even in self defense.
Most people are unaware that laws passed in the late 19th Century were specifically written to discriminate:
The statute was NEVER intended to be applied to the white population.
Most people are unaware of the brave stand taken by groups like the Deacons for Defense during the Civil Rights struggles of the 20th Century.
Without a sense of history, and without a clear understanding of the motivations employed today to ensure continued and expanded citizen disarmament, most do not have perspective to challenge deception-based assumptions, ones that purposely omit any reference to the implications for freedom that guns in moral private hands represent.
Ralph W. Conner, Chairman of the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE)-Chicago, and Donna Major, Boston Field Coordinator for Second Amendment Sisters, are our guides through this 20-minute video. I urge you to stop what you're doing, right now, and go watch it.
I urge you to share the link with everyone in your sphere of influence--friends, relatives, fellow gun owners--and especially with people who may actually believe that all motives for "gun control" are pure and benign.
I then urge you to get a high-quality DVD copy from JPFO by signing up for membership.
Why? You can see it for free, and if you send your friends the link, they can, too.
Three reasons:
The first is it takes money to bring us treasures like this. Don't you think we should encourage and promote them, instead of starving such efforts due to "Let George Do It" apathy? If JPFO doesn't bring us information like this, who will?
The second is because it allows us to share the important message with a wider audience. I can see all kinds of opportunities to spread the word that a DVD could provide--you can play it a gun club meeting, host an event at home, show it at a community center...
The third is best articulated by Mr. Conner:
By definition, a slave is a person that is disarmed.
Do it to fight slavery.

Thanks David, Like all of JPFO's videos, this one is sure to stir up some interesting conversations and open some eyes.
I think it's a fine idea the JFPO has.
Everyone deserves protection and don't rely on the cops, they only show up after the fact. The cops are supposed to catch the bad guy, not protect you, and at times they can't protect themselves.
this is the most racist stuff ive ever seen in my life.
Mr. Conner has seen more than you. But you ought to contact him and tell him that.
