Happy Thanksgiving. What in the world are you doing here?
As long as you are, let me wish those of you who are friends of this column a wonderful day, filled with good company, good food, laughter, and of course, gratitude for the many blessings in your life.
I'm taking the day off to be with loved ones. You should, too. If you have no loved ones, you should get off the damn computer and work on that.
Right after reading my traditional Thanksgiving Day essay, first presented in 2005 on my WarOnGuns blog, titled "Night of the Evil Butterball." Click here to read it.

Look at that thing in the picture. What did Robert Shaw's Quint say in "Jaws"?
He's got lifeless eyes. Black eyes. Like a doll's eyes. When he comes at ya, doesn't seem to be living... until he bites ya, and those black eyes roll over white and then... ah then you hear that terrible high-pitched screamin'.
Yeah. There's a happy holiday thought.
Have a safe Thanksgiving. And don't forget to be thankful for your rights, and your means to preserve them.

Thread drift warning. David, according this article titled, "RNC Members Propose Purity Test", it appears the RNC is finally attempting to think like conservatives once more.

The only thing I think the questionnaire is missing is a mandatory polygraph test. Either the NRA rating system failed to do it's job or they caught on to your questionnaire. I'm going with the latter.
Actually, I did skip most of my usual on line stops yesterday... to busy cooking! Hope you had a great day and dinner. I know I did.
