I received the following email from a Chris Bunch supporter in contact with the campaign:
He said that his fund raising really improved with the exposure you gave him and he asked me to convey his thanks.
But what he really needs is to have "our people" make voters in his district aware of him. He is being treated by the establishment party and media as if he is invisible. The exposure you gave him prompted donations from New Hampshire, Kansas and elsewhere - what Chris really needs and what I would really appreciate help with, is in making calls to friends - just a couple - but if anyone knows any person(s) in Alamo, Danville, Concord, Canyon, Pleasant Hill, Martinez, Antioch, Clayton,Fairfield, Orinda, Walnut Creek California could they PLEASE call them and make them aware that there is a real candidate on our side in this race.I was going to ask this favor in the comments section of your Examiner column but I do not want to be rude or co-opt your column without your authorization - Please advise - Only six days till the election.
Don't worry about that--I'm happy to help any candidate who is not afraid to give unequivocal answers to these questions.
But so far, despite the report of a few contributions, support from grassroots gun owners at spreading the word has been underwhelming. Not only is there no action on the part of the political gun groups, but I see the forums and gun blogs are pretty quiet. I'd ask where they can produce a candidate for office who is so candid about his or her support for the Second Amendment, but the bottom line is, any leadership on this is going to have to come from us, and by that I mean War on Guns and Gun Rights Examiner regulars. And we're going to have to do it without delay.
You who perceive value from these posts by returning here every day: we can't do this without you.
Will you help?
If you don't know anyone to contact per the above request, will you still help spread the word? Will you help Chris Bunch with campaign expenses? Will you contact the gun groups and request their support?
Do you want more leaders to emerge who aren't afraid to actually champion the Second Amendment--instead of just making noises they're not really sincere about just to mollify gun owners? Why would they?
This isn't something you can wait on, or figure the other guy will do.
Will you do something? Anything?
Or will this be yet another profile in apathy?

Fired off some emails and a few board posts for you, David. Has he tried calling in to some of the big conservative talk radio shows? I've heard more than one candidate the rest of the media was trying to ignore get a hearing on several of them.
Don't forget that there are some grass-roots on-line radio talk show hosts that are always looking for some guests. I think there are a number of folks who listen to these shows:

Don't forget to include YouTube videos that are short and to the point on singular political topics. So that if someone types in Bunch on Healthcare Reform, they get a 3-5min video of your position on that. Other topics include immigration, 2A Rights, Education, Taxes & Role of Government etc.
Keep them short and to the point so that you can communicate clearly. Have someone digitally record all of your speeches and reach out to seniors, veterans and other groups. Setup a townhall feedback session and invite them and yourself to an open dialogue. You are already probably doing these things, but maybe this will reinforce your good ideas.

Your candidate needs to request the assistance. He should contact our Director of Federal Affairs, John Velleco, at jvelleco@gunowners.org .
But, please keep in mind, that we do not get involved in every federal race; but only in those races that have national significance as far as the Second Amendment is concerned.

David is Chris running any radio ads at all!
I’m completely unfamiliar with the area of California that you are talking about, since I live in Illinois.
Chris needs to buy advertising time on a few radio programs and introduce himself to like minded conservatives in that district. (Think Limbaugh, Beck, Savage and so on. Go to where to audience is and don’t worry about their politics)
Locally 1 minute inclusive radio ads are about $200/spot and you need to buy a minimum package.
Non inclusive spots are $85-$100 with 15 second spots around $10-30
IS he doing that?
David why not promote this idea to him and approach it from the stand point that all of us can help buy radio time and introduce Chris to his future constituents
