Bloomberg anti-gun blueprint revealed

From CalGunLaws.com:

Calgunlaws has obtained the Mayors Against Illegal Guns “Blueprint For Federal Action on Illegal Guns” through a FOIA request to the White House.

Bloomberg’s group had previously refused to disclose the report.

The contents of the report were reviewed by our good friends the "Authorized Journalists" back on Oct. 3:

The "Blueprint for Federal Action on Illegal Guns," a copy of which was obtained by The Washington Post... "would dramatically improve law enforcement's ability to keep guns out of the hands of criminals -- and, in doing so, save innocent lives."

See, if they claim it, it must be so. Right? What, you expect evidence? And a reconciliation against "shall not be infringed"?

Note how media allies got their copy to exploit, but gun rights advocates were forced to file a Freedom of Information Act request. Bloomberg & Co. are proposing requirements to bind all gun owners--many through reclassifications, executive order enforcement, ATF policies, etc.--in other words, stuff we can't hold our elected representatives accountable for. The report specifically--damn near gleefully-- points this out:

The coalition has identified 40 opportunities in six areas where the Administration could enhance enforcement of existing laws without Congressional action.

That is, without accountability to We the People... The antis will not stop. And they'll use whatever means at hand to attack us, including keeping our representatives out of the loop.

And they didn't want to show their hand and let us know the specifics. What does that tell you about the character of these...characters?

CalGuns requires registration to read more. I also note the SnarkyBytes blog is hosting a pdf file of the Bloomberg "blueprint," and no doubt it will be appearing on other sites.

My first impressions:

Right at the start, I can't help but notice they're using the "enforce existing gun laws" mantra against us. You have to wonder why anyone thinks making concessions to the enemy is a good idea--it's not like they won't turn around and accuse us of being extremists who never compromise. Besides, if the Second Amendment means anything, the mantra ought to be "repeal existing gun laws."

The other thing that's clear---there was insider ATF help with this--whether through retirees or with existing administrators is unclear. But because they will be beneficiaries of more power if this blueprint is followed, we deserve to know, and their involvement--including if on-the-clock personnel contributed to this--ought to be public knowledge.

Don't look for the "mainstream government watchdog press" to help.

This is a dangerous and insidious new way of attacking our right to keep and bear arms. It's incumbent on each of us to first read and understand the document, discuss it among ourselves, and come up with a way to defy and resist this. Hopefully, we'll see some ideas for a coordinated response coming from NRA, GOA, SAF, et al., within the next few days.

Is anyone surprised that Bloomberg's agenda extends far beyond "illegal guns?" When you base much of your legislative agenda (repeal of the Tiahrt Amendment)on a blatant lie, lies are a way of doing business. That the group opposes "illegal guns" is a lie; the group opposes gun ownership, pure and simple.

Uh, I think we already know how we will ultimately need to resist this.

They'll have to kill us to make us comply, and some of us won't just let them do that with no repercussions. Of course, the goons who advocate this are counting on lowly LEOs being the ones doing the risky enforcement while they are above the dirty work.

All of this coming from a man who personally refused to obey the law that the people had put in place to term limits. Another international broker who believes the little people should do as he says and not as he does.
Pure trash from top to bottom.

The goal is always to 'string up a few' to encourage compliance. How many more rights are Americans going to forsake in the name of 'safety & security?' I am understanding more about why people fear their governments...governments are the original terrorists.

Sometimes the powder keg just doesn't ignite itself, kind of like a gun pulling its own trigger...sometimes you just need to give things a bit of a nudge...

Good ol' Bloomberg -- always blaming Virginia and guns for his inability to keep criminals off the streets of New York City. He can have my guns whenever he wants -- bullets first.

Purchase and possession of certain weapons is an ill-guided attempt to achieve peacefulness by regulating trade and preventing violence before it occurs. Violation of peacefulness by assault and/or battery with ANY weapon (rocks, bricks, sticks, shod feet, motor vehicles, aircraft, flammable, caustic, corrosive or radioactive chemicals, sporting goods such as baseball bats and golf clubs, rattail combs, butter knives, sharp knives, razor blades and, oh yeah, pistols, rifles and shotguns) will continue to be unlawful and prosecuted for their misuse.
Wishful thinking via legislation or executive order does not achieve peacefulness, but do "justify" incarceration before the assault or battery occurs to promote the illusion of peacefulness.
Remember, some will pay to visit DisneyLand or DisneyWorld rather than experience the real world, which is rife with uncertainty. Others revel in freedom. Which do you prefer?

Supposedly American guns are being exported from Texas to Mexico where they cause an explosion of gun-related violence. Why didn't they cause an explosion in Texas?

Guns from Virginia are being exported to New York where they cause gun-related violence. Why aren't they causing gun-related violence in Virginia?

Could it be that the guns are not the problem? Hizzonah da Mayah must know better that us. After all, we didn't make billions on Wall Street. But wait, doesn't that make him one of those "Fat Cats" that Obama despises?

In a beautiful sense, Bloomberg and his agenda are likely to biggest LOSERS ever in the liberal attack on gun ownership. It's likely the Supreme Court will soon decide in favor state's incorporating the 2nd Amendmentment, which means that every single person he sees every day will personally possess the rights he so badly he craves to eliminate, and he will never in his earthly life have much of anything he can do about except be FORCED TO COMPLY. This should be rubbed in his face endlessly if the Supreme court decides favorably. And then burying his city in lawsuits regarding infringement of those freedoms can put in in a defense mode that continue until he is gone. What ever great pleasure he gets from lording over others, and devoting time he should spend on the betterment of his city, spent on leftist activism, all that pleasure could then be converted the frustration of trying hold back the tide of the millions who are likely to soon want to excercise their 2nd Amendments freedom.
