Safer Streets 2010 and Gun Control: Gun laws becoming too suspicious now.

Gun control itself has to be getting very suspicious to non-gun owners. The reaction of gun ban entities  is just vicious. It has a defiant, even retaliatory cast to it. 90 million gun owners - especially the older ones - have long distrusted gun control's motives, especially when it comes to defiance of the law. The Supreme Court's recent decision to incorporate the second amendment deletes now a dodge some had been using to deny Americans their civil rights. With little cover now, the blatant contempt for the people is evident even if you don't own a gun.

It has long been my decision not even to talk to the left about what guns and the armed citizen are all about, but to concentrate on the undecided who might be interested. The left in this country is about 22% by some reports. I don't doubt it. Most voters, when asked, say that they are libertarian, independent or conservative. That's a lot of Americans who are interested in getting out from bigger government, and bigger governments always start with gun control first. The left has gone too far and has offended the totality of Americans as one people... except for 22%, that is. Sounds to me like a vote of a sort.

Since the Supreme Court in McDonald v. Chicago incorporated the second amendment, gun control advocates have doubled and tripled their efforts. I want you to see Dave Workman's analysis on this.

Alright, so they hate guns. No, gun control does not hate guns: it hates Independence of demagogues, freedom from the silly foibles of officials, and that means your personal freedom. What that 22% of the United States wants to do is unwanted and, to I'd say about 78% of Americans asked, not even needed in the most remote concepts of justice. Gun control is a warning of things to come, and the real giveaway is how hard they fight for it when gun control's performance is so rotten on its face for decades. If being armed doesn't make you independent on various levels, guns would never attract the attention of leftists as one of the first things to do. Gun control is not to make streets safer, it is to break the will of independence from one's public servants. That is what gun contorl strives for.

It's that simple, and that is why this edition is so short. I have plans for the weekend and gun control has plans on defying the Supreme Court. We all have to get busy in celebrating our freedom, and being greatly inspired once again by the law of the land; the Constitution of the United States.

Enjoy your Fourth! I decided to fly home from San Fran to Seattle just so I could enjoy my own fireworks, my own bang-sticks, and other 'things that go up'. When I told my colleagues they thought I was nutz and that all these extra-curricular activities were banned 'on the west coast'. When I explained that it was just CA, they looked at me in horror and I looked at them like a second class citizen.

Am I superior to them? Probably, but only due to my superior rights that I have retained and that they voluntarily gave up theirs for a false sense of security. Can the CA man-child reclaim their rights? I don't know...what do you think?

A very powerful observation, TAP. What matters to us is this: it is not important what we can prove in the minds of officials, it is what we believe inour minds as the sovereign. If they lose our confidence, well, that's all we need to unseat them.

When they defy our loss of confidence, they prove that all our fears are coming true.

    Think November.

No TAP, they cannot. They have not the courage to be free.

Why are many cops exhibiting gang member mannerism?

Well, Harry, it's because they are criminal gang members. They just have a stricter dress code than most.

Great article, John. You know, I've NEVER been able to fathom how the supposed liberals could go around chanting "Power to the people" like they did in the 1960's, and advocate gun control at the same time. Like you say, gun control is a brazen attempt to destroy a person's individual freedom.

They might as well be saying "Power to the state, in the name of the people".

When you come to think of it, NRA, SAF, GOA and all other gun rights groups are actually MORE liberal than the left-wing liberals, since they advocate individual empowerment via the Second Amendment. Pro gun groups cannot be thought of as right-wing. That's utter and stupid nonsense.

Hope you had a great Fourth of July holiday, everyone!
