Safer Streets 2010: American Militias.

What is the Militia in 2010? Who was arrested in Michigan raids in the news and how is this important in 2010?

No matter what it promises, government cannot protect you. Government duties lie elsewhere other than your personal protection. If you are the type to prepare for disaster or other event, no doubt you will come to appreciate this fact; if you coordinate with others, no doubt you will discuss this reality as your reason for existing: you're on your own, and discussing it is not to overthrow the government. Anyone who says preparedness is against government is against you and your independence. Seeking independence could be regarded as a sign of losing confidence in public servants, but whose fault is that?

Government might as well say "You think I'm fat!!" Walking on eggshells isn't our idea of a free country. Official resentment of militias forgets the citizens resentment of servants' insistence on doing too much.

Thus, lame stream media earn their lame chevrons by portraying survival planning as anti-government. As a smear on independence, is this faithful to the readership and audience? Cultivating dependency on government to the exclusion of the public interest is counter-intuitive to say the least. You cannot with any credibility dislocate working safeguards of community preparedness and then say that you are there for the safety of the community.

If a community prepares for civil disturbance, which follows nearly every single disaster, you can't with any honor push community preparedness aside and offer something less when you finally get there. The entire purpose of community preparedness is purely because the agencies can't be there soon enough. Discouraging it is wrong. Depending on yourself is very good advice. Leading the movement of this kind of preparedness are militias. And they catch Hell for it.

Why? Because they have guns? Korean storeowners had guns in the Rodney King Riots in Los Angeles, and their stores were much less affected by the destruction. They weren't snipers on rooftops, and they didn't shoot at LAPD helicopters.

Guns in the hands of the citizens who have the most to protect work better than the absentee forces who want you to wait for a protection that never comes. It is part of the dependency formula more and more Americans are beginning to experience.

In light of reports of a so-called Militia's arrest in Michigan and elsewhere, I have three recommendations for you. Be alert to how the story evolves.

1. Devour and digest all news on the subject from both the lame stream media and the New Media. The New Media wouldn't exist if it weren't for the lame stream media's contempt for watchdog duties. Get the facts and relate them to your own family's needs. Do they teach First-aid and CPR?  Do they teach preparedness and being on your own?

Remember that though the average household may know a lot about the home, just how the family will meet, manage, and survive an encounter with violence is the most neglected area of household management.

2. Do not confuse public service and preparedness with hate groups. By now you should feel the pressures of dependency on servants; by now you should know that independence is not hate. Be alert to the tactic of smear and how smear serves the left by discouraging preparedness and your right to be much more independent of them than we are.

3. Contact any militia in the U.S. and ask them anything you like. Do not confuse Militia with National Guard or Army Reserve. The Militia has been the everyman since the nation's inception with no National Guard for another 130 years. Do your own interviews and find out for yourself.

Do you have to join a militia to be militia material? Not at all. You can be militia material if you believe in your greater independence from your very own servants. We all want safe freeways, safe food inspection, and airline safety, but let's not go nuts; servants are servants and their authority is to be limited on our say-so, not expanded on their say-so. Militia material summons servants to their duty with all its limits on servants. Militia material believes in law and due process; it is to invoke it, and to expect from the servants the tolerance for militia under American Law.  It is not the electorate, but the servants who do not believe in it who are tearing the country apart.

    Good article John Longenecker

America is owned by the Federal Reserve Bank. Google G. Edward Griffin. The Creature from Jekyll Island. The FRB is a major part of the global banking cartel and the entity that all Americans are indebted to. These and other gov’t handlers are the driving force for every bill on the so-called ‘progressive’s’ agenda. Nationalized Healthcare, Amnesty for illegal aliens and Cap and Trade. The agenda is European socialism and eventually the ’Union of the Americas’. Ron Paul is one of the few who has been exposing this fraud for years.
Anyone opposing this agenda is their enemy. Those calling for a restoration of America to a Constitutional Republic is their enemy. Anyone without this knowledge doesn’t have a clue.

With you on that one bud 100%. Caught that drift years ago. Comical that people have been snowed under. One to about how this has been going on for years while people had guns and that should tell them that it didn’t matter they had guns. Best idea seen yet is to elect people wholl stop taxes on income. You can’t get government off your backs if you can’t stop them from picking your pockets. Governmnt is about to add a whole new bunch of taxes. Like the one to about the freemen can’t say hes free when government is stealing his money. Anybody read this stuff?

Since even the walls have ears these days it's probably best to explore hypothetical situations and determine your best response by using a metaphor in place of the actual presumed threat.
    For example:
What would be the most effective response if Mussolini's black shirts were given the orders to disarm and arrest citizens who resist fascist totalitarianism? If the black shirts were summarily executing citizens without trial, would the citizens be justified in hunting them down like rabid dogs?- etc...

John, as usual your argument is unassailable. Particularly on the subject of individual preparedness, the lefties have convenient memory lapses. Remember when the best the government had to offer was to suggest we duct tape our windows? The newslink immediately prior to your's was a most timely intro: "Invest in precious metals - Gold Silver and Lead".

Yup, the walls indeed, have ears, and every one of us is and have been suspects for some time. While we're at it, you may assume, reasonably, that everything you say and read and write is being collected and analyzed by supercomputers somewhere in virtual memory. That wouldn't be such a bad thing but we now know without doubt, that our Constitution and Bill of Rights are in great jeopardy. Their words not withstanding, we know better. It would seem that it matters who has access to such information because of what they will do with it.

For just wanting to be left alone, I've gotten into a hell of a pickle but then I'm not the one who made that pickle. The way I look at it is that they are beating up on everything I love and cherish and in fact, upon my family, for their own selfish purposes. And they expect me to take it? No they expect a reaction. They expect a capitalize upon that reaction...... Hmmmmmm.....
