George Soros once said he'd spend his entire fortune if someone would guarantee that George Bush would lose the last election as a result. He later claimed he was joking. What isn't a joke is that foreign financiers and domestic despots are willing to spend enormous amounts of money in order to see gun rights abolished in this country. All that stands between them and their dream of a ban on gun ownership is a few million gun owners.
Groups like the Joyce Foundation (of which Barack Obama was a board member for eight years) and the David & Lucille Packard Foundation work tirelessly to try to undermine the Second Amendment. The Joyce Foundation, an organization listing assets of nearly $1 billion on their last financial statement, has paid out over $12 million in grants in the last 7 years to gun control groups in the Great Lakes region. This includes Saul Cornell, the Ohio State University Associate Professor of History who has written several anti-gun books and come under severe criticism for allegedly manufacturing his data and source material. They also fund the Ohio Coalition Against Gun Violence, Mayors Against Illegal Guns Coalition, the Violence Policy Center, and other gun control groups using donations from wealthy elitists with an agenda of disarmament.
Standing in their way are only the gun rights groups in this country like the National Rifle Association and Ohioans For Concealed Carry. These groups are funded not by the deep pockets of foreign investors and billionaires like New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, but by everyday citizens and gun owners who just want to be left unmolested and to not see their Constitutional Rights sold to the highest bidder.
Unfortunately, the fight to defend rights isn't free. Large organizations like the NRA have to pay staff and lobbyists at all levels of government to ensure legislators hear the voice of reason. Though statewide groups like Ohioans For Concealed Carry are made of of all volunteer activists, legislative battles and legal battles still cost money. These groups rely upon their grassroots members for support, and the anti-gun lobby is counting on the recession to cut some of that funding and give even more advantage to their spare millions. We can't let that happen.
Every gun owner in this country should belong to at least two gun rights groups if they want to keep their freedoms, one national group and one statewide group. They need your support because without you they will fail, and if they fail we all lose.
Speaking of supporting state gun groups, Ohioans For Concealed Carry has announced their annual fundraiser, the Fun 'n Gun. Held in northern and southern locations in alternates years, this year it is back at the Tactical Defense Institute. I will be there on April 3 to enjoy a fun day of shooting and help preserve gun rights for all Ohioans. Will you join me?

Daniel,
The part of your article on the Ohioccw site still has the "Ohioans Against Concealed Carry" mistake.
So it is now the plight of the Citizen that their money, which is their Life, is stolen from them by government through legalized theft--that is through confiscatory taxation on their wages, property and by every other means those in government can contrive...all under coercion, threat and actual use of force.
Those whose salaries are paid by theft, ignore other laws as written into legal documents prohibiting certain acts, among them the right of the people to keep and bear arms.
These laws are written and phrased in most every manner imaginable in the majority all State Constitutions and specifically via the IIA to the U.S. Constitution.
But, rather than abiding by the laws prohibiting violations of rights, persons salaried through legalized theft enact laws which in fact, violate the rights of the very persons whose rights officials, authorities and legislators are paid to secure.
Citizens into Subjects then Peasants.
Stop feeding the Beast
