For the third time in a week an armed citizen has stopped an armed robbery, this time without a shot being fired.
Erick Tehoke, who had just gotten his concealed carry license three months ago, was approached by a would-be robber while sitting in his SUV after making a withdrawal from a Columbus ATM. When the robber demanded his money, Tehoke drew his handgun and the robber fled.
"I did not see anything that looked like a knife or looked like a gun it was just an instant reaction and I pulled my weapon," Tehoke told Channel 10 news.
This is yet the latest example of the estimated 1-2 million defensive uses of a handgun each year that end without violence, many of them unreported to police or the media. Two other robberies were recently stopped, both in Toledo, when the intended victims shot their attackers.
One again, concealed carry proves to be successful despite the lies spread by the gun ban movement.

Unfortunately as far as gun control proponents are concerned this was _not_ a "defensive use of a handgun." They only seem to count instances where the victim actually shot and killed the perpetrator.
And then they confuse who is the victim and who is the perp.
Man frightens unarmed robber with gun. Apparently no witnesses. Hmmmm. I suspect Mr. Tehoke just made up this story and reported it to the police to reinforce the guns are good propaganda. You guys are going to have to do better than that.
"This is yet the latest example of the estimated 1-2 million defensive uses of a handgun each year that end without violence, many of them unreported to police or the media." Yeah, right. I think you just extruded that from your rear end.
Alex, there's been MANY studies done on defensive gun uses, and the average between all of them comes out somewhere around 1-2 million. Even the Brady Campaign has used figures from the lowest study of them all that claims around 700,000 per year.

You can pooh-pooh the facts all you want, the truth is, people use guns defensively far more than gets reported to police, and A LOT more than what gets reported on the news. I know two relatives and one friend of mine who have used handguns to protect themselves, all without firing a shot. Over 90% of the time, that's what the bad guys do, turn and run when they find out their intended victim was armed.
So who's pulling assumptions out of their ass now, Alex?
I have saved my life three times with a gun, one of those times I didn't actually have one, but all nine of those gang members thought I did. I never had to fire a shot. There are three instances for you Alex. Oh yeah, and I've been shot twice, but only when I was unarmed. Out of all those instances, only one was ever reported to the police and that was because the second time I was shot, it was imperative to seek medical attention and hospitals are required to notify the police of gunshot wounds.
I think I will not take counsel of your paranoid fears, nor your lying assumptions.
I'll tell you this, were I confronted by an armed criminal, bent on taking what belongs to me? I'd like to be armed. If he wanted by bag of groceries I might just give them to him but if he wants my wallet or car? I would arrest him. If he was threatening my life, my Wife's or threatening great bodily harm? I'd shoot him dead.
I just can't understand anti-gunner statements by people like Alex at all. They are to stupid to understand if you abide by the law you are allowed to carry a weapon for personal defense. What more could you ask for?
I found this story at a site that reports on interracial crime. In the politcally correct world we live in you dont even get a description of the suspects usually. This site is not P.C. http://tinyurl.com/c95t53
I use to think the site was racist. But, to be honest I find its the only place to get the real story. It's opened my eyes.
