Minutemen Lexington Green
In 1775, the Minutemen swore an oath. That oath read as follows:
We trust in God that, should the state of our affairs require it,we shall be ready to sacrifice our estates and everything dear in life, yea, and life itself, in support of the common cause.
On April 19, 1775 they were roused and called upon to honor that oath. On that day, a mere 60-70 of Lexington's Minutemen had assembled on the Green and faced 700-800 British troops. Captain Parker of the Lexington Militia told his men "Stand your ground. Don't fire unless fired upon. But if they want to have war, let it begin here."
The British demanded that they lay down their arms and disperse. When the men, would not lay down their arms, an incensed British officer fired his pistol at the Minutemen, immediately followed by a full volley by the British troops. At least seven were killed; Ensign Robert Munroe, Jonas Parker, Samuel Hadley, Jonathan Harrington, Jr., Isaac Mazzy, Caleb Harrington, and John Brown. They were the first of many to give their lives in the cause of God and their country.
Over two centuries later, We the People, are facing vital challenges to the freedom on which our great country was founded. As I stated in yesterdays column, Modern day Red Coats, are among us working hard to control every aspect of our lives, from the time we are born until the time they decided it’s time for us to die. Yet a majority of the American people as still asleep. Unaware of their surroundings like a frog placed into warm water where gradually the temperature is being increased.
Unlike the frog, our republic doesn’t have to end this way. There are many of us who are resisting and will continue the good fight (no matter the odds) for freedom and liberty to preserve and protect what the Founding Fathers gave us. A republic, if we can keep it.
April 19, 2009 will also be another day in history to remember, as several hundred 21st Century Minutemen, like their predecessors peacefully assembled on that same hallowed ground to take a very similar oath. We stood as one man, representing every branch of military service, active duty and retired, Police, Fire and average American citizens alike. Some stood to reaffirm their never expiring oaths and some stood for the very first time (like myself) to take the solemn oath from our very hearts and souls before God and our fellow countrymen.
Before the oath taking moment, we heard inspiring words from Walter Reedy Founder of The Committees of Safety, Garret Lear – The Patriot Pastor, Tom Moore for Dr. Edwin Vieira, former Sheriff Richard Mack of Arizona, Lt. Commander Guy Cunningham, U.S. Navy, Ret. and last, but not least Stewart Rhodes – Founder of Oath-Keepers.
I invite you now to watch and listen as your fellow Americans, Patriots all, regardless of political party, race, gender, or religious preferences unite in taking the following oath:
I ________, do solemnly swear or affirm that I will support and defend Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same. That I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion pledging my life, my fortune, and my sacred honor. So help me God.

A moving experience indeed, but given present circumstances in our country today, it has become necessary to expand this solemn oath with a list of orders that will not be obeyed.
- We will NOT obey orders to disarm the American people.
- We will NOT obey orders to conduct warrantless searches of the American people
- We will NOT obey orders to detain American citizens as “unlawful enemy combatants” or to subject them to military tribunal.
- We will NOT obey orders to impose martial law or a “state of emergency” on a state.
- We will NOT obey orders to invade and subjugate any state that asserts its sovereignty.
- We will NOT obey any order to blockade American cities, thus turning them into giant concentration camps.
- We will NOT obey any order to force American citizens into any form of detention camps under any pretext.
- We will NOT obey orders to assist or support the use of any foreign troops on U.S. soil against the American people to “keep the peace” or to “maintain control.”
- We will NOT obey any orders to confiscate the property of the American people, including food and other essential supplies.
- We will NOT obey any orders which infringe on the right of the people to free speech, to peaceably assemble, and to petition their government for a redress of grievances.
Why? You see, sadly, there are many Oath Takers, but very few Oath Keepers. My fellow Americans, there is only two sides to the coin of human existence. You are either on the side of tyranny, or on the side of liberty. Which side are you on?

It is very common in repressive regimes to label anyone who resists as mentally disturbed. I see from a previous comment that hasn't changed.
I think the oath keepers have chosen a hard trail but the few I've met seem sincere and honorable. I can't join then since I don't worship their gods but I still wish them well.

Finally a resistance is forming. However, it is off to a weak start and late in the game. The tyrrany over us lies with those who make the laws. That means the only way to win is to physically remove them. By the time something was organized of that mangatude another "terrorist attack" will have taken place and scared the people into compliance. Look, Clinton was elected in 1992 and we had the first WTC bombing in 1993, Bush was elected in 2000 and we had the WTC bombing in 2001, Obama was elected in 2008, we will have an attack in 2009, and my guess is prior to October since the Army has standing orders to patrol inside the US to quell riots and civil unrest since last Oct 1st. Did you not notice that FEMA showed up in NYC the day before 9/11? And that FEMA is conducting a national level excercise July 27th - 31st? This is an anti-terror drill that changes FEMAs role from emergency management to federal police force with foreign troops taking part. Turn back to God America!

After I was threatend by the court in Mojave, Ca. for asking if I was to serve under military law or constitutional law during my jury duty? The So called judge threw 5 day jail threat at me. I won my case in front of the press I feel because the So called judge could not prove the pledge of allegiance to the flags it has always said flag. Kern County has 4 colors on the so called national flag and we all know it is red, white and blue. I have a state ledgislators letter and a military judges statment that basicaly says the gold fringe is a fourth color and represents color of military law. Did you know under military law you are presumed guilty. Under constitutional law you are inosent untill proven guilty. just the opposet of U.C.M.J. Now I just tell them that If I dontreconise their flag, I dont reconise their jurisdiction. Hence we have no buisness.
