thanks so much sen. hegar!! i am also living on farm land that has been in my family since the mid 1800's! i fully support your ideals in this stand you are taking! i don't know if you will see this comment, but i want everyone who does see this to also check out what montana is up to! i cannot put a link in this post so search "new montana gun law" and just click any of the first few links and read what Gov. Brian Schweitzer has signed into law!!
it is time to stand up for states rights and individual rights; to revert to the constitution on which we should have been standing on all along! this is no longer the america our forefathers bled and died for, i am sorry to say it!

I hope things can change for the better but honestly I just don't think thats possible anymore. We need to assert States Rights. If that does not work(I am doubtful it will) then Texans and all other peoples in each of the fifty States should shake off the oppresive fedr'l gov!!! All States and their People need to stand together even if we must disunite in order to come back together even stronger than before and more aware of the Divine Principles of The Constitution(s). Lets show them We have Self Rule by the People. Free The States!!!

Wow ... a member of the state senate actually addressed the issue of Texas independence. I'm quite impressed!
