Please try again. I don't see how "slamming liberals" equals doing self defense advocates harm...

We either support the Constitution, or we do not. We either have civil rights for all, or for none. Factionalism plays into the hands to those who want power. Divide and conquer. Centralized power means less power to the People. Disempowered people are disarmed. Read history.

I'm also a little puzzled. The entire condemnation of the Tea Party movement rests on the assumption that when they say "liberals" they mean "Democrats", something that they've been adamant to deny. The movement started before the election, and has consistently and explicitly condemned the Bush administration's profligate spending policies as well as those of Obama.

The Tea Party site mentions Obama & Co. Prospects can only go by what they read there. My previous article on the Austin Tea Party noted it was nearly all conservative/Republican. It has failed to reach the "middle" or "left." Poor people tend to vote Dem.

As someone who attended the San Antonio TEA party, and having participated in several meetings since, I can safely say that there is no one 'official' TEA party site. Every organization has it's own agenda, with most agreeing on the basics. The San Antonio TEA party group takes great pains to NOT point at one political party or another. They both have undesirable elements - it is those elements that are assailed. www.sateaparty.info - be warned, the site is under renovation, but check back.
