The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence claims to be “speaking out to save lives” on its home page. However, Brady is curiously silent on one of the biggest killers of elderly Americans.
While this author waited to speak at an AARP meeting, one of their members quoted Centers for Disease Control data indicating that senior citizens died from falls at an alarming rate. Later research confirmed that in 2006, over 45 elderly died each day from accidental falls.

Great work, Howard! Logically, an organization bent on safety should start with the biggest problem and work down to the smaller ones like firearms. Are you listening, Paul Helmke?
That would be a lot more rational, too. If the argument at its core is safety, Helmke would have to go to areas of high death rates which are not being addressed: it's not as if someone else is tending to those in the least.
The elderly frail are not who Brady is trying to control. They can no longer work, there is no profit in controlling them, therefore, no incentive to keep them safe.
Strictly a control issue, their campaign isn't even really about guns. It is about subjugating the productive citizen to profitable exploitation by reducing his tools of liberty and his spirt of self-relinace to be controlled by his "betters".
And as is typical of traitors these people believe they will be on the side of the "betters" once the goal is attained. They are not smart enough to understand they will the first purged simply because the powers that take oveer will already know of their propensity for betrayal. And their usefulness will be at an end.
Assuming, of course that they win. Ironically, should they survive it will be because we won and in the process kept them safe.
