The music is joyful, the movements smooth, and by the end of the workout you wonder, why haven’t I done this before? It is the Masala Bhangra Workout® that Sarina Jain developed and is promoting throughout the United States. This workout has been featured on NBC’s Today Show and Dr. Oz Show to name a few, with Sarina and her team of instructors spreading the word.

Now you can experience this wonderful workout in a little jewel of a pilates studio in Island Park called Pilates for Every Body.

Owner, Patty Maraldo, has scheduled a Complimentary Masala Bhangra Workout on Tuesday, March 16, from 8 to 9pm with Elizabeth Fielder, one of Sarina’s certified instructors.

Elizabeth discovered Masala Bhangra last year while taking classes at Alvin Ailey, and before she knew it became devoted to this style of dance, which is the foundation for most of the Bollywood moves you see in the movies or at Indian weddings. Elizabeth is certified to teach the Masala Bhangra Workout®, dances with Sarina at various events and television programs, and is featured in her Sarina’s next workout video that was filmed in Bollywood.

Pilates for Every Body is the site for many unique group classes in addition to its personal pilates program. Patty Maraldo opened this studio in 2007 and has offered bellydancing, Zumba, and now the Masala Bhangra Workout®. If you haven’t had the experience of trying something new and for free, this is the program you need to be part of!
