As further evidence of a strong commitment to establish itself as the hub for green and sustainable tech businesses in the Hudson Valley, TechCity announced  that it will offer tenant-specific guidance and assistance to access the numerous, federal, state and regional programs that support growing businesses.

Alan Ginsberg, Chairman of TechCity Properties, said, “At this time in our nation’s history, there are more government programs available to support cleantech businesses than ever before. Accessing these programs – or even knowing where they are – is a full time job. It requires a great deal of knowledge and experience in navigating government at all levels. As a result, TechCity has taken the unusual step of bringing someone in who can be a resource for potential tenants.”

The TechCity tenant initiative will be directed by John Cerveny, Vice President for Government Affairs. Mr. Cerveny will assist TechCity and its current and prospective tenants to find and pursue the programs that are intended to help them grow and prosper.

Mr. Ginsberg added, “With government at all levels interested in developing these green-collar jobs, Mr. Cerveny, an executive with a strong track record of advocacy and business development in the renewable energy field, can and will play a role in helping companies of the future become a reality today,” he said.

Mr. Cerveny said, “There is a clear public interest in helping companies that create jobs in green industry sectors, which is why the public sector has focused its attention on programs to spur the growth of such companies. Companies at TechCity have already been able to benefit from government sector investments, which ultimately benefits the entire community through the creation of good-paying jobs. I see a bright future and great potential for TechCity and our tenant companies, and I’m confident in our ability to attract investments in the industries of tomorrow, here today at TechCity.”

As of today, tenants at TechCity include Bank of America, SolarTech Renewables, Hunter Panels, The Solar Energy Consortium, Precision Flow Technologies, Farm to Table Co-packers, and EarthKind Energy, Inc.
