Michelle Harris, a biologist and educator, is a single mom of three boys and four grandchildren plus several "furkids" - a dog named Diesel, a rat named Earl Gray and six tarantulas. Having spent the last decade as a design and marketing professional, she's looking to get back to her first love, science. In doing so, she has studied environmental education in Costa Rica, engages the public on her Facebook page (facebook.com/greenmatter) and started her own kids club called "The Bug Huggers Nature Club" (http://meetup.com/greenmatter) designed to get kids and families outside learning about nature and encourage them to live greener lives. And, it doesn't take long to learn that Michelle loves BUGS! Over the past few years, she has found that people are fascinated by bugs and that bugs actually have lots of lessons to teach. She considers them great teaching tools and role models. Contact Michelle at michelle@greenmatter.org.
