First "Green" Cleaning Franchise Opportunity in the US

Working out of his garage in San Francisco, Mike Nero may have revolutionized the $5.3 billion carpet cleaning industry.

It took a decade, but Nero believes he has found the first environmentally-friendly carpet cleaning solution as an alternative to chemical processes currently in use that are harmful to people, pets and the environment. 

Nero utilizes imported sea kelp from the pristine waters of Iceland, that is just as effective in stain-fighting as the earth-damaging carpet cleaning methods.

Since launching his company, Naturell, and seeing tremendous demand in the Bay area, Nero has decided to franchise his "green" methods and patented solution to bring safe, organic carpet cleaning to households throughout the U.S. Naturell plans to have 500 locations operating throughout the country in the next five years. 

According to Nero, currently, just 12 percent of the U.S. carpet cleaning segment is franchised brands - the rest are small independents, leaving huge opportunity and growth potential for the first green franchise in the category.

These franchises can be established as a home-based business and require a $9,000. franchise fee and additional startup costs (not defined to this Examiner).
