
making of the documentary "First Coast Flickers"
The Norman Studios Silent Film Museum Inc.held a celebration and reception yesterday at the site of the historic studios, 6337 Arlington Road. Hosted in part by the Circle of Faith Ministries, the public was treated to a personally guided tour of the facilities being renovated by the film pioneer's son, Captain Richard Norman, Jr. Beyond the anecdotes provided by Captain Norman, attendees also got the chance to watch behind the scenes activity during the making of the museum's upcoming documentary, "First Coast Flickers".
Honored guests included many members of the extended Norman family, At-Large City Council Member Glorious Johnson, State Congressman Lake Ray, NSSFM Chairperson Devan Stuart and Miss Black Jacksonville, Angel Jackson. Entertainment was provided by the Stage Aurora 100 Young Voices chorale.
The museum proper is not yet open to the public on a regular basis, however a "sneak peek" at what will be on display can be had by visiting the museum's website.
