God tells Christ: tell the people to send red envelopes to the White House

Christ Otto, a self-described grassroots organizer from Boston received a message from God recently:

As I was praying, I believe that God gave me an interesting idea. Out in the garage I have a box of red envelopes. Like the powerful image of the red LIFE tape, an empty red envelope will send a message to Barack Obama that there is moral outrage in this country over this issue. It will be quiet, but clear.

The envelopes represent the innocent blood shed through abortion, and the plea for the blood of Jesus over the sin of our nation. This campaign is a symbolic act to flood the mail with red. The more we send, the more powerful this symbol will be.

Otto says March 31 was chosen arbitrarily and that the project is a living parable of his philosophy of life, “listen to the Lord and do what He tells you.” He says if you make listening to God a habit, and you do what God tells you, you are going to impact the world around you. His main goal is to show people that anything is possible if you listen to God.

He hopes to change the president’s heart and asserts that it is not a political stunt, although he wants policies to change in Washington. He believes that if the capitol is flooded with so many letters the image will be burned into President Obama’s mind causing him to lie awake at night until he cannot resist doing something about it.

Joseph Farah of WorldNetDaily has promoted the idea and the Red Envelope Project website claims over a million respondents promising to send in their empty red envelope to the White House which if mailed tomorrow should be arriving by the end of the week.

Hey, this is great for the Post Office which has been hurting because of the drop in mail due to email. Maybe we could get them to do white envelopes next month.

These people are truly disgusting. They are illogical to the extreme and are being manipulated by people for political and other power needs. Even the Catholic Church approved of abortion – up to 40 days in the case of males, 80 days for females until about 1870. And no one made a big deal about it until the Roe v. Wade. Up till then the push was all anti masturbation. Boys shouldn't spill their precious seed on the ground.

It is all about control with a strong religious fervor.

I wish they would do something about protecting the precious children that are alive, Real children, not cell collections..

There was no way to tell the sex of a baby before 1870 or for a long time after for that matter.

Why is it when conservative people find a way to express there beliefs and or outrage with abortion does the other side have to make them sound unreasonable.

To every supporter of abortion I ask, I bet you are glad your mother did not go that route.

    Sam Dobermann:
Yes Sam, in 1867 I went in for my ultrasound and learned . . .. Really now, where do you get your information. Obviously you haven't given it much thought. The Catholic Church has always been against abortion, and no one made a big deal of it before Roe v. Wade because it was a non-issue. It is not about control - it is about murder. Why don't you go get some reliable information and learn some facts, then come back and post.

Kathy: When conservatives express their anti-abortion beliefs, liberals have to make them sound unreasonable because that's the only defense they have. They use that tactic because ridicule is the liberals' first line of defense. Few of them advance to the level of logic and truth, and those that do soon realize the error of their beliefs.

Look, this is notable and will do zero from stopping the secular liberal pagans from going full throttle to push more not less abortions. The Tea Bags might be a better protest on taxes and spending. I do know that many priorities fill our minds. In the public's mind, however, abortion is not in the top 10 . Still, other polls show that protests like this do make a dent in Indies, Reagan Dems and other religous persuasions other than Christian.

It's not illogical to know that the embryo inside a woman is a human being ~ open your eyes.
And, this movement is about honoring God's heart, not guaranteeing a certain outcome. We stand for LIFE in all forms & send messages of hope, not death.

I don't think he will ever see these envelopes... While I agree with our President when it comes to working families, I don't agree with his positions on the issue of abortion.

Morality is our main concern as believers in Christ! My big question is what if Herod had been able to offer Mary a state sponsered abortion with the persecution she recieved for conceiving Yeshua? What if Herod's more extreme form of population control had been successful? We must stand for God in this nation and tell the satan helpers God is in his Holy Temple!
