Chuck Norris to American 'patriots': stop flying U.S. flag or fly one that is 'tea-stained'

Chuck Norris is known for playing good guys with a violent streak. Now as a political commentator he continues to play that role but now he considers America’s choice of Commander in Chief the bad guy. In short he hates the choice voters made and is willing to suggest that a violent overthrow of that choice would be consistent with the Founders’ principles.

In his commentary today on WorldNetDaily he suggests that its time to take down the flag and fly a flag with a message; Don’t Tread on Me. He says this call to arms is meant to educate friends and neighbors about the enemy within. He reminisces about the day Americans, suffering from a form of patriotic PTSD after 9/11 simply chose to trust a Commander in Chief who at the end of the day proved to be a scofflaw and community organizer; at least if the community is Al-Qaeda. Americans considered the lives and liberties lost in that aftermath of that terrible day and voted overwhelmingly for change and the rule of law. Norris is fed up with the American people and spouts his vitriol at them on a weekly basis.

In today’s column he states that,

On Sept. 12, 2002, we sought to protect our nation against terrorists from without. Beginning on Sept. 12, 2009, we are seeking to protect our nation against enemies of our republic from within. Many of us are protesting the present political direction of Washington. Outrageous borrowing, excessive bailouts, massive spending, speedball stimulus plans, universal hell-care and swings toward socialism are just a few of things that were protested that day. Of course, economics is far from America's only problem, as large as it appears to loom.“

Norris says it time for revolution:

“It is no surprise therefore that tea parties have transformed into town hall revolts, cross-country town criers, 9/12 movements, the Tea Party Express and a proliferation of protests across the Internet. Washington can decry all of these as organized partisan resistance, but the fact of the matter is every-day common citizens and patriots across this country are fed up with the federal government, and they're not going to take it anymore.

As 9/12 concluded, we all heard many ways to keep this revolutionary movement going. But I was sitting back thinking there's one way we can take a daily stand and declare that, as for my me and my house, we will serve God and the republic as the founders did. “

He suggests taking down the American flag and flying an alternative or at the very least a ‘tea-stained’ U.S. flag whatever that means:

“If that describes you, then I suggest you fly some revolutionary flag in lieu of your 50 star flag over the next year or so. Post the 13-star Betsy Ross flag, Navy Jack or Gadsden flag ("Don't Tread On Me") or any representation that tells the story of Old Glory and makes a stand for our founders' vision of America.

Of course patriots know that the 50 stars flag truly represents one nation under God and our founders' republic, but modernists simply don't get it. So what do you say we make a statement by flying a different flag, and educate our neighbors when they ask us, "Why are you flying that flag instead of the contemporary stars and stripes?" (If you insist on posting a modern U.S.A. flag too, then get one that has been tea stained, to show your solidarity with our founders). “

Once again Norris encourages the next Timothy McVeigh to act. Shouts of “You Lie” may be followed by shouts of “You Die” if this rhetoric continues. Then flags will be lowered; to half-staff. Doesn’t anyone on the right have the courage to stand up for the people’s right to choose a leader?

Tea stained: Boston Tea Party. Duh.

Chuck is not talking treason: he's talking about preventing Obama from destroying our country. Obama is the furthest thing from a patriot that this country has ever elected.

Sorry, maybe my reading skills are a little off but where exactly does he say to go blow up a building??

Stop Being an idiot and wake up!!!

Or maybe you saying our founding fathers were terrorists?? Maybe to the British they were but what people are doing now is what our founding fathers would be doing if they were alive!!

Ron - you obviously missed the whole point. It's not the election of Obama that Norris is talking about. It is Obama's radical policies, leaning us toward socialism, if not flat out communism. If you can't see the truth in that, then I have to wonder if you have ever read the Founding Documents of this nation.

I just went outside and ripped the Old Glory decal from its place of honor on the rear bumper of my Chevy truck. Chuck is right! People spit on him when he returned from Vietnam with them MIA's & he turned the other grizzled cheek. So how does America honor him? By electing a Muslim President. Just like the Muslims he fought in Lebanon rescuing them pretty El Al stewardesses from Hezbollah savages. A pox on our flag and the people who fly it. I'm running ol' Gadsen up the flagpole. Don't tread on me ingrates!!

Simply fly the flag upside down (naval signal: vessel in distress) on your car and/or in front of your house. From democracy/capitalism to autocracy/socialism in EIGHT MONTHS!

Mr. Norris's comments are treasonous because the US is based on free elections. Like it or not, President Obama was elected by a large majority that wanted, and wants change. Mr. Norris is free to not agree. But if he truly supports America, he'll support respect for his elected officials, regardless of whether he agrees with them or not. It's ridiculous that my kids look up to this clown.

With all due respect Sir, you're idea of changing of the flag at best seems childish and at worse, un-American.

Ignoring the last President's folly of invading a country that was about as ready for Democracy as Catholicism is ready to accept abortion, is just foolish.

I have my issues with where President Obama is going but he does have the countries best interests at heart.

I hate the bank bail-out but if it helps to bring about stability with the dollar at home and abroad and end's the slump in job growth quicker then yes, call me a Socialist.

And please, the health care debate?..If you don't want in on it just "opt" out...that simple, It's not called Health care "option" 'cause it's mandated (For the folks out there that don't know, mandate means "you have to do it").

We have a number of programs in the U.S. that are and can be seen as Socialist but for MANY years I have never heard much from the people in regards to those said programs,I hope race has nothing to do w

As long as these super patriots were making money during a false economy, they were happy. Where were these super patriots during the Bush years with 2 wars, trillion dollar tax cuts and Medicare part D, all put on our credit card? Where were these super patriots who still idolize the ole Gipper when he was deficit spending and raising taxes at the same time? These super patriots can whine all they want, they have no credibility and no movement. Much of the stimulus money hasn't been spent, Obama's budget doesn't start until Oct 1, banks are paying back TARP funds w/interest (we made 5 billion in profit so far)and we are coming back from the brink of a huge depression.

Mr. Norris obviously does not understand that Obama was ELECTED...by We The People. It's not as if he is trying to do things he did not speak of before he was elected. This is what happens when one administration is so terrible that the people want as far away from anything resembling it as possible. While I don't agree with some of the things the President has done I do have enough sense to realize that it's going to take far more than 8 months to dig us out of the stew that the previous administration put us in. And 'Smerls' the answer is yes, our founding fathers did commit treason and would today be considered terrorists. And did so knowingly, read the declaration of independence sometime.

We ARE at a crossroads, do we as a people have rights and freedoms naturally, as we have since the inception of this country or are we as a people going to accept the rights the government tells us we can have, subject to the governments whim to give and take them we they decide.

If the President REFUSES to even acknowledge the MAJORITY of people who are now saying they disagree with his version of "change", this shows that he is not following the wishes of the electorate. Further, he continually acts against the Constitution and the rule of law. Even if the majority of citizes wanted him to break the law, he has sworn an oath to uphold the Constitution. Any of you who say Bush did this are just not looking at the FACTS--Bush's actions were preceded by lengthy debates and votes in Congress.
Bush didn't/doesn't even speak poorly about his adversaries in public. Obama not only consantly bahes Bush,he speaks poorly about the majority of the CITIZENS, and speaks poorly about the Country on the world stage. It really is an outrage.

Folks on the right are quick to criticize the Hollywood left. Generally, insist they shut up about politics. How about the right taking a page from their own paybook for a change. Tell Chuck Norris to shut the hell up. He is confusing the fantasy world of maritial arts action flicks with real life. Even kids know better than that.
