Hundreds expected to show support for medical marijuana at Silver Tour event

Four to five hundred people are expected to make their way to Temple Shaarei Shalom in Boynton Beach Florida on Sunday, January 29th, for The Silver Tour, presented by NORML of Florida and Robert Platshorn.  The Silver Tour Corp. is a Florida Non-Profit organization created by Robert Platshorn whose goal is to educate the public regarding the benefits of the legalization of medical marijuana.  The Tour is educational and entertaining.  It features doctors, nurses, patients and attorneys who are experts in their field and who are active in supporting the cause.

This particular presentation will feature Mary Lynn Mathre, RSN, MSN, CARN and Al Byrne, LCDR (USN Ret.), both from Patients Out of Time.  Patients Out of Time provides the only AMA accredited cannabis continuing education courses for physicians, nurses, lawyers and caregivers.  Also on hand will be Irvin Rosenfeld, a prominent Florida stock broker who became the second patient to receive 300 medical marijuana cigarettes monthly from the federal government.  State Representative Jeff Clemens (D-Lake Worth), who has filed a joint resolution in the Florida legislature that would allow the use of medical marijuana in Florida, will be there to garner support as well.   Lastly, Michael Minardi, a prominent criminal defense attorney, will explain how citizens can become active and stand up for their rights.

The Silver Tour is free and open to the public with the show at 1:30 pm-2:30 pm followed by a Meet the Speakers and Refreshments from 2:30 pm-3:30 pm.  Refreshments are provided by Gourmet Galaxy, Palm Beach's Premier Caterer.
