Twilight Convention Comes to Nashville without Kellan Lutz!
As reported in "Official Twilight Convention comes to Nashville with Peter Facinelli, Kellan Lutz and the wolf pack," Summit Entertainment and Creation Entertainment are bringing the Official Twilight Convention Tour to Nashville this weekend.
Kellan Lutz Cancels Nashville Appearance
January 29-31, 2010 will find assorted aspiring vampires and werewolves haunting the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center to see Peter Facinelli, Charlie Bewley, Michael Welch and part of the wolf pack (Bronson Pelletier and Kiowa Gordon) up close and personal... but not Kellan Lutz. In what is sure to be disappointing news to teen girls across Tennessee, it has been announced Kellan Lutz is not appearing at the Nashville Official Twilight Convention due to a conflict with the filming of his new movie "Love, Wedding, Marriage." Instead, convention guests will have the opportunity to see Gil Birmingham, Charlie Bewley (Demetri of The Volturi) and Michael Welch (Mike Newton).
"It's disappointing that Kellan won't be there. He and Peter Peter Facinelli were the two main reasons I was planning to go," says Jenny of Nashville. "I'll probably go anyway - it will be interesting to actually see a Twilight convention, even without Kellan."

Friday is the day the Twilight convention officially kicks off in Nashville with the Theatre open for guest appearances, contests, Twilight Lexicon Panel, videos and the Friday Night Musical Concert.
The Twilight convention excitement lasts through Sunday at 7pm with Peter Facinelli, Charlie Bewley, Michael Welch and the wolf pack. Visit www.twilightconvention.com for more information.

OMG! Faith based books? What part of the Mormon faith do you think is espoused in these books? Or do you think that Star Trek is faith based also?
I doubt you are asking a serious question or I would point out the Mormon patriarchal archetype and other Mormon symbols found in the book. However, if you read the article - you know - look at the words until they sink in and have meaning - you will see the writer never says anything about "the Mormon faith espoused in these books" just that they are "faith-based."
The Examiner says these words:
"The three-day Twilight weekend, based on movies inspired by the faith-based Twilight books of Stephanie Meyer". Not much to study or have sink in. Except for the fact that the author Stephanie Meyers is a Mormon there is nothing faith based about these Vampire books. (And her faith is something the author Stephanie Meyers goes to great lengths to avoid talking about.) There could be a good argument made that these are "teenage angst based books" though I'm sure Freud could find other psychological apspects to dwell on. Some Christians search so hard for faith they find it anywhere, even in Hershey bars.
Do you find Mormon archtypes in Anne Rices books as well? Captain Kirk is for sure a patriarchal archetype and quite possibly might have eagerly embraced the Mormon faith.
Twilight is grate! I luv the books and movies! 2 bad Kellan wont B in Nashville. And yep! The books R definitely Christian.
Got something to say?
