Silver Leaves -- Tolkien Journal

Issue 3 of the Tolkien-based journal "Silver Leaves," an annual publication of the White Tree Fund, was just released in Canada on Monday, July 12, 2010. The overall theme of the scholarly and artistic journal is J.R.R. Tolkien, but other high fantasy literature and artwork are included. The essays and artwork inspired by Christian author C.S. Lewis were a prominent theme of issue 2 of "Silver Leaves."

Silver Leaves -- International Contributors

Issue 3 of "Silver Leaves" contains articles, reviews, poems, essays and artwork inspired by the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis and other writers of high fantasy submitted by approximately 40 contributors from around the world.

"We are very excited about getting this beautiful publication into folks’ hands," says Journal Administrator and Content Co-ordinator Jo-Anna Dueck. "With submissions from recognizable names such as Ted Nasmith, Jef Murray, Virginia Lee, Brian Sibley, Tom Shippey, Tim Kirk, Colleen Doran, David Wyatt, John Dickenson, along with many others, this is a delightful treasure-hold. 'Silver Leaves' could be almost be considered a collectible."

Silver Leaves -- Christian Contributors & Nashville Connection

Christian contributors include Jef Murray, and some of my own work has been included in all three issues of the "Silver Leaves" journal, giving it a Nashville connection as well.

"Silver Leaves" has also announced it is accepting submissions for Issue 4. The theme is "dragons" in anticipation of the Hobbit movies.
