Love's Unending Legacy with Erin Cottrell, Dale Midkiff, Victor Browne and Holliston Coleman is a 2007 Christian drama film made for the Hallmark Channel. Directed by Mark Griffiths, Love's Unending Legacy is based on the book by Janette Oke and is the 5th DVD in The Complete Love Comes Softly Collection series, which released on December 1, 2009 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.

Love's Unending Legacy

Recently widowed when her husband is gunned down in the line of duty, Missie (Erin Cottrell) and her 10-year-old son Mattie leave the LaHaye ranch and return to Missie's childhood home. Determined to make it on her own, Missie decides to move into her own place and resumes teaching. She soon meets the handsome town sheriff and finds herself unexpectedly adopting a young orphaned teenager. Can Missie let go of her beloved Willie and find love again?

Although Love's Unending Legacy is a sweet story, it lacks someof the depth of the previous films in the series. However, by the time someone has sat through the first four films, one is pretty well invested in the series and will want to know what will happen next to the Clark-LaHaye family.
