'Passion of the Christ' Actor Jim Caviezel Stars in The Word of Promise Audio Bible
Actor Jim Caviezel, who played Jesus in The Passion of the Christ, will be making a special guest appearance at Trinity Broadcasting Network's Holy Land Experience on August 29, 2009 in conjunction with the release of The Word of Promise. Caviezel provides the voice of Jesus on the New Testament portion of the dramatic audio Bible produced by Thomas Nelson Christian publishing company. The New Testament portion released in 2007 while the complete audio Bible will release in September 2009.

Other stars performing alongside Jim Caviezel as Bible characters on the 79-CD, 90-plus hour project include: Richard Dreyfuss, Lou Gossett, Jr., Stacy Keach, John Rhys- Davies, Gary Sinise, Marisa Tomei, Jon Voight, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, John Schneider, Luke Perry, John Heard, Harry Hamlin, Lou Diamond Phillips, Joan Allen, Jason Alexander, and many others.
Jim Caviezel Drawn to the Truth
Jim Caviezel said a major factor in his decision to portray Jesus in The Passion as well as in The Word of Promise audio Bible is truth. "Throughout my professional life, I have always been drawn to truth when selecting projects," he said. "In the Scripture I find truth that has long been a source of strength and constant inspiration." Caviezel added that he hopes people will be transformed by the truth as they listen to The Word of Promise Bible. "People change so much when they know that they're loved," he said. "And I want them to know that they're loved when they hear this."

In addition to playing the role of Jesus in The Passion of the Christ, Jim Caviezel has also portrayed Edmond Dantès in The Count of Monte Cristo, and Private Witt in The Thin Red Line as well as appearing in Wyatt Earp, G.I. Jane, Pay It Forward, and several other movies.
