 Haiti Relief Benefit Concert This Thursday, January 28

The People's Church in Franklin, TN is the site of yet another exciting benefit concert for Haiti, the Haiti Relief Benefit Concert hosted by Brent Gambrell Ministries on Thursday January 28 at 7 p.m. with Jaci Velasquez, JoDee Messina, Legacy Five and more.

The list of gospel music luminaries participating in this event for the earthquake victims includes: Jaci Velasquez, JoDee Messina, Legacy Five, Melissa Greene (formerly of Avalon), Nic Gonzales, new country band Thompson Square and others. Praise & Worship leader Jared Anderson will also premiere a new song he wrote for the people of Haiti,"Carry Me,"  - a song he dedicated to Middle-Tennessee's Katie Erie.

First-hand Accounts of Earthquake Survivors from Nashville Area

Earthquake survivor Katie Erie, an MTSU student from Williamson county who was working at the New Life Link orphanage when the magnitude 7.0 quake hit on Jan 12 will talk about her personal experiences during the quake. Her father Mike Wilson will share his story of flying into Haiti the morning after the earthquake to rescue Katie and his daughter Santia (Tia), who also worked at New Life Link orphanage in Haiti. Brent Gambrell, who accompanied Mike Wilson, and whose ministry has been working in Haiti for almost eight years, will also be a part of the program and is hosting the charity event.

Other Recent Benefit Events in Nashville for Haiti

The Haiti Relief Benefit Concert follows several other local benefit evens for Haiti featuring gospel artists. Last week saw the concert for Haiti with Michael W. Smith, Nicole C. Mullen, Plumb, Tommy Sims, Breith, and more at The Factory in Franklin. The same day a group of artists organized by Kirk Franklin participated in an all-star recording benefit for the Haiti earthquake victims.Tomorrow night the Healing Haiti 1 Song @ a Time: concert for Haiti takes place at 12th & Porter in Nashville.
