2009 Senior US Open standings and photos: Day 3

After Day 3 of the Senior US Open the top of the leaderboard is looking a lot like it did after the first 2 rounds.

Fred Funk took control today as he post a 4-under 68 in round 3. Although he had 2 bogies today he made up for them making 6 birdies during his climb to the top.

Amateur Tim Jackson is still in the mix of things with only one round left to play. Today he drooped from 1st place going 1-over par today but remains only a few strokes back. What an accomplishment it would be for Jackson to take home the trophy from the 2009 Senior US Open. If he can control his nerves and finish strong he just might be able to show the pros how it's done.

Greg Norman continued to play solid golf as well today as he posted a 4-under 68 for the day. He currently stands in a 2-way tie for 2nd place with Joey Sindelar who went 2-under in round 3.

Mark O'Meara is alone in 5th place at 9-under. He is followed by Dan Forsman and Scott Simpson in 6th place at 8-under.
