The gossip Web site Radaronline.com reported earlier last week Tiger Woods is back together with his wife, Elin Nordegren in their suburban Orlando, Fla., gated-community home. Now the Australian newspaper, the Herald Sun, reports the marriage is a sham.
A source told the Herald Sun: “The marriage is all smoke and mirrors, but Elin will help Tiger rebuild his image and gain new sponsorships, because this is what his life is all about.”
While Woods has returned to his Windemere home, he's also been spotted hitting balls at Isleworth. Woods' nearby home course. That has set off the usual flurry of questions when Woods will return to the Tour.
Jack Nicklaus joined the guessing game recently, telling the media before the start of the Honda Classic: 'I've been very non-committal because it's none of my business. But my guess as a golfer is he's going to try to play the Masters. It would surprise me if he didn't. I suspect he will play something before Augusta, too." The Honda Classic is being played at the PGA National course in at Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., the same site of Woods' 13-minute televised statement acknowledging his affairs.
NO TO GAMBLING SPONSORSHIP: Woods, through his reps, turned down a $75 million sponsorship offer from the British online sports betting service, Paddy Power. TMZ.com reported Woods blew off a five-year deal with the gambling Web site. We're guessing Woods doesn't need the controversy of associating himself with a gambling company just for a few more million dollars.

Elin Nordegren is Tiger Woods' saving grace!!! Tiger said that Elin deserves praise and I wholeheartedly agreed. Elin is doing what no other woman would have done under similar circumstances, giving Tiger another chance to put his life back together. Everyone knows that Elin is crucial for Tiger's recovery, his comeback and his acceptance by the public. Only time will tell if Tiger will change. I hope he does because he has caused his family enough pain and suffering already. I wish them all the best.
