While Red Sox Nation hopes the Philadelphia Phillies can beat the hated New York Yankees in the World Series, Red Sox pitcher Clay Buchholz will marry Lindsay Clubine in two weeks at Trump National Golf Club in Los Angeles.
Joining the newlyweds-to-be will be 120 of their closest friends, including current and former teammates Jacoby Ellsbury, Jed Lowrie, Michael Bowden, Casey Kotchman, Brad Penny, and Justin Masterson, according to the Boston Globe.
Buchholz and his fiance, whom the Globe identifies as “Briefcase No. 26” on NBC’s game show Deal or No Deal, will tie the knot on November 14. The couple will then take off for teammate David Ortiz’s early December celebrity golf tourney in the Dominican Republic.
Match made in heaven. The Donald himself introduced Clubine to Buchholz a little over a year ago. Sort of.
“There were a bunch of players there, and [Trump] walked me over and said, ‘Hey guys, this is Lindsay and she’s single,’” Clubine told the Globe. “He literally threw me to the wolves. Clay and I hit it off and the friendship just grew.”

As for Big Papi, whose name does not appear to be on Buchholz’s guest list, he will host his second annual celeb golf tourney from December 3 through December 6 at the Dominican's Cap Cana resort. Proceeds will benefit the David Ortiz Children’s Fund.
