Warriors will miss Baron Davis big-time
The closer it gets to opening night, the more glaring the Warriors' point guard issue becomes.
For the past three-and-half seasons, Baron Davis ran the Warriors. He scored a lot, assisted a lot and had the ball a lot.
I think the Warriors are really going to struggle without Davis. On one level, it's not really going to matter for Golden State who wins the job.
It will mean a lot to the player, but not much to the Warriors in the long run.
This year's point guard battle is among C.J. Watson, Marcus Williams, Dan Dickau and DeMarcus Nelson. Who would you like to see get the majority of those minutes.

I don't care, just don't make it Dan Dickau...that's De Nelson's spot!
It goes without saying that the Warriors will miss a selfish player who could neither play defense nor be depended on to be game-ready. Moreover, having a good defender like Demarcus Nelson playing point guard just doesn't seem Warrior-like. Using Davis' salary to build a strong bench is the dumbest idea of all.
Is anyone else tired of hearing that Davis revived the Warrior franchise? It seems to me that Nelson and Mullen resuscitated it. Davis' addition helped little until Mullen talked Nellie into coming back. Who else could have persuaded Cohen and Nelson to coexist?
All I can off of is what i've read. CJ Watson looked efficient in summer league. Nellie mentioned though out training camp that D Nelson has been his favorite player. We keep hearing that Williams is too slow & not quick enough too keep up with most starting point guards. Dickau is just a journeyman.
Conclusion, Watson & Nelson might split the number of starts before Ellis comes back.
