No Crawford tonight vs. Bobcats, no Jackson vs. Jazz, no Biedrins vs. Pistons

Tonight it's Jamal Crawford. Sunday against Utah it will be Stephen Jackson. Next Friday against the Detroit Pistons, it will be Andris Biedrins.

Warriors coach Don Nelson said he will continue to periodically give one of his veterans a game off so as to facilitate more playing time for the team's youngsters.

Nelson said Corey Maggette will miss an upcoming game, too. He just hasn't figured out which one yet.

Nelson said he's not breaking any new ground here in terms of strategy, and in fact said he has done this kind of things at various times over the course of his career, including during his first stint in Golden State.

"It's actually better for everybody, if you think about it," Nelson said. "Rather than play a guy 15 minutes, just give him the day off. When he plays, he can play his normal kind of minutes or close to it. I've found over the years that it's better to do it this way."

What seems most strange, however, is Nelson chose to start this process for a game in which the Warriors are not at full strength. Monta Ellis is unavailable. In other words, why would Nelson choose to take this approach on a night when the Warriors are already short-handed?

"Well, it starts the process going," Nelson said.

I think its stupid. The young guys need minutes, but they also need to learn to play with the vets. More evidence Nellie doesn't know what to do with the kids. He needs to keep his own options eliminated to avoid just sitting players.

Only one vet will be out each game...don't understand your point...

Heck, we only have three real vets on the team. Although Ellis and Biedrins have been in the league four and five years, I still see them as young players with a lot of developing still to go. So sit Jackson,Crawford and Maggette from time to time, but not Biedrins, and what the heck is going on with Brandan Wright? It just seems it takes him forever to come back from an injury. Maybe he should start drinking some of that Mississippe water.

Nelson is in true tank mode. His player rotations this year makes one think the game has past him up and he needs to step away. Off to Maui & smoke your cigar.

Nellie should give Maggette and Azubuike the rest of the year off so Randolph can get his minutes.

This season obviously is not what we all wanted out of the Warriors. I support them no matter how crappy the season has gone. I know as a fan it is tough to sit and watch it or hear about it. I just support them as much as I can and hope for the best. Next seaon should be different (we hope). They have several issues that need to be looked at, we can only hope it all gets worked out and the product out on the floor next season performs better. The rooks will have a season under their belt, that will help them coming into next season. I know Jack takes alot of crap, obviously be he makes mistakes but at the same time, he is very consistent with his game (other than turnovers). It would be worse if we did not have Jack on the floor. Maggs coming off the bench has been good, he is a legit scorer, just needs to work on some things. Monta will hopefully be at the top of his game next season and Goose will hopefully bulk up a litte. Sitting the vets now and again will give them some rest and let the youngins' show what they can do. With all that said, lots to look forward to next season.

Thank goodness! Give the youth the floor! Get those others guys off the hardwood, they set a terrible example of how to play defense. Crawford is really talented at watching his guy go by. Maggette is even worse, a staue defensuively, they care only about their offensive numbers. I would love to see Randolph, Morrow and Belinelli, they're hungry and with some fine play down the stretch they may be able to write their ticket outta this mess.

The Warriors suck under Chris Cohan. We love basketball. We deserve a winner.

    Hence, the concern.

But Cohan and co. don't listen to the little guys, only the big fish STH a-holes who swill Chardonnay and wear untucked collared shirts with jeans that are too tight and wait for that one game in 8 when Biedrins will pretend he likes them or when Larry Harris will drip some hair gel on them.

Knocking passionate ball fans who get the big picture on this ownership's 15 year un of incompetent little man complexes is like telling people not to watch Lebron James play unless he's playing against the hometeam.

Knocking the casual fans just coming to their senses about the ownership history is something only Warriors employees would dare attempt.

Freshdonuts--you would challenge me in a game of horse-i bet your only conditioning is watching the warriors run all day--i would challenge you to a game of one-on-one...BALLIN!!!!!!
