Monta Ellis is way past the point of itchy when it comes to getting back onto the court.
Why else would he be shouting "Let me play" to anyone within earshot at Wednesday's Golden State Warriors shootaround.

That's funny. I bet he's dying. If conditioning is really the only thing that's holding him back, why not just let him suit up and slowly give him PT? If the concern is that he'll hurt himself again due to conditioning, well, just don't play him that many minutes. As they say, the only way to get into game shape is to play in games.
Thanks.
That's got to sit well with Rowell.
It is killing him not be out there in a game. I agree with Doc K, limit his minutes, slowly work him back in.
I guess you would have let us know already... but is there ANY idea when he will actually be back on the court. He's obviously ready. Can we expect Friday against the Cavs?
Seriously, I didn't catch a word of that. This is coming from a huge fan of The Wire.
Agree also, limit his minutes, but let him play, also last been watching some warriors games from last year, and after watching that video of him dunking, it seems to me that last year he when he elevated his head came near touching the rim. I dont know, I'll watch again, and convice myself I'm wrong........let him play!
Ok, after watching that way too many times, I think he yelled, "Everyday!!! I'm ready to go!!!"
doc k., dave: Monta expressly said that he won't come back before he's ready to start and play 40 minutes and that then we'll all know that Monta Ellis is back. or something to that affect.
nevertheless, it's still up to the doctors and trainers and should remain so.
Cheesy Poofs, I also agree that when the docs and trainers say he is ready, then that should be the time. Just over anxious to see Monta out there I guess.
Pretty sure that no one is waiting for the doctors at this point.
Heh, good video. I just don't understand the lack of even a ballpark estimate from the organization on when he will come back.
Also, Biedrins is out tonight?!!?!?! Just when everything was turning around... I hope it means more PT for AR... though I have a suspicion that Kurz will get more time than AR tonight...
Yes, I know that he should come back when the trainers and staff say so, but Monta can't expect to be playing 40+ off the bat. I bet it'll take him at least a week or two to get into any sort of rhythm, if not longer. But, he has surprised me already with him dunking all over the place. That kid has some super genes or something. If that was me and I got that ankle injury, I'd be out for at least a year.
Dre is out tonight? That blows. Message to AR - "GET SOME!"
Nellie will be in ecstatic, now he can start "five smalls". Let Monta play...the 5.
Come on now. Let the boy play. If Monte says he's ready then its time. Its time! We need him back and from what I just saw he is close as hell to ready even though he won't be able to log those 40 minutes they were referring to.
What do you think of monta's chances of playing this friday the 23rd against cleveland. If not then i think he will play sunday against baron and those clippers. Jeff Green ruined my wednesday.
Beans is 3rd in the league in rebounds -when you think about it, the W's have a very talented team - - - now all they need is a coach. Putting Monta on the court in Nelson's free-for-all excuse for a system puts the kid's career at risk for no reason.

Ok, I thought sure I would find a juicy expose on Monta's return to game action tomorrow against the Cleveland Cavs. In the starting lineup even. Any more that could be added to this?

But he won't be as good as he really is if he were on a half court set team.
Got something to say?
