As I embark upon my first holiday as a Celiac, I wondered if all the celebration must come to an end because of society’s widespread dependence on gluten. As I strolled through stores searching for the traditional elements of an Easter basket, I was disappointed and nervous. There are packages that do not appear to have gluten in them but without a declarative "Gluten Free" statement I tend to not take the chance. We all know where that can lead!
However, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Children and adults can rejoice for yet another reason this weekend, Peeps are gluten free!
