What is it about a leisurely Sunday morning, relaxing with a cup of fresh coffee and a pastry that is so indulgent and yet so simple? If you find it hard to answer that question, try giving it up.  A common regret for those spending life without gluten is the loss of that little privilege.  For those in the Seattle area, that regret has all but melted away.  Wheatless in Seattle, located at 10003 Greenwood Avenue North in Greenwood serves an array of mouth watering breakfast and lunch items for the gluten free populations of Seattle.

Every single item you will find here is gluten free.  In addition to their selection of gluten free items, they offer a number of soy free, dairy free and vegan alternatives. Set in a nice little house-turned-bakery, the inside is set with tables and on sunny days you can enjoy the outdoor seating as well.  Coffee and espresso drinks are made to order and a perfect compliment to your day.  The gluten free menu includes breads, muffins, cupcakes, quiche, lasagne, cookies and other seasonal offerings.

High maintenance? You are welcomed in with open arms.  Do you have a long list of other items that you avoid besides gluten? Have no fear; Kaili McIntyre, owner and entrepreneur, will clearly and fully answer all of your questions on ingredients and preparation.  She has built a fantastic relationship with many of her customers and will always make you feel at home in her establishment.  Kaili started baking gluten free out of necessity for herself and then began advertising her gluten free products.  Before she knew it, she had developed quite a following and this led to her opening of Wheatless in Seattle. Her bakery also provides products to numerous local businesses where you will find gluten free menu items.  Check out her website to keep up on the growing list of local vendors offering Kaili's creations.

Stop by Wheatless in Seattle and treat yourself to a gluten free delicacy.  Open Monday through Saturday from 8am to 5pm and Sunday 8am to 3pm.

Always Remember : The only way to guarantee a gluten free meal is to cook at home with fresh ingredients on a gluten free surface. All restaurants that offer gluten free meals will do their best to prepare your meal without gluten, although they cannot guarantee that your meal will not be exposed to incidental cross contamination. For those who have absolutely zero tolerance for gluten, please be aware of this possibility when dining out.

I went to a party that her daughter had on Wednesday. Long story short, I found out from her that she own this store. And so, after tasting her delicious pizza (Hawaiian style by the way) and the cupcake, I couldn't believe it when she told me that it is gluten free. I do not have that disease but it taste pretty good.

I went to Wheatless in Seattle. Not sure why but the owner wasn't friendly at all. The GF products were just okay. Since, I've been baking & cooking GF, I was disappointed with the quality, prices, calories, oil, flavor, presentation and the owner's rudness. I searched for other info and in YELP, I read quite a few reviews that felt the same way.
