Generation Gluten-Free

Susan Cohen is the director of Generation Gluten-Free a documentary on Celiac Disease that covers the evolution of gluten-free support groups, restaurants and products in the Northeast.  She has been working to get Generation Gluten-Free on Good Morning America, but she needs our help to push her forward.  She believes the best way to convince the producers at Good Morning America to book an appearance is to show how many people believe in this film and see it as a vehicle of awareness.

For those of you who are not familiar with the documentary here is a summary.  It is a one-of-a-kind 42-minute documentary that is a tribute to a special group of people who, through extraordinary commitment and sacrifice, built and transformed the Celiac community.  For some, their motivation came when they or someone they love was diagnosed with Celiac disease at a time when support groups were non-existent, gluten-free food companies were a dream for some, and a gluten-free menu in a restaurant was unimaginable.  More information about the documentary can be found on their website.

Now here is where you come in, please take one minute and email the producers at Good Morning America at gma@abctv.com and share anything about Susan or the film that you think might help. As we all know, the Celiac community is very motivated and when we put our minds to something we have one really loud voice.

The previous television coverage of Celiac Disease could use some clarification and this Examiner believes the documentary is a great way to set the record straight.  Celiac Disease is not an allergy, a fad, or a diet plan, it is an autoimmune disorder that is controlled by following the gluten-free diet.

Let's all work together to help get Generation Gluten-Free to the masses!
