The Only Two Pairs of Shoes You Need on Your Next Trip

Any seasoned traveler knows two things about shoes: If they hurt, it can ruin your trip and they take up precious real estate in your luggage. So, what’s a fashion forward girl to do? What if I told you that you could take your summer vacation with just two pairs of shoes? Don’t believe me? Read on.

The Shoes To Wear

Americans are familiar with the classic Keds sneaker, but take that concept and put Italian style and flair on it and you have Superga. These classic canvas sneakers date back to 1925 and have been a favorite of bella donna’s on holiday since 1925. The classic 2750 model comes in over 30 colors, but select a neutral option and these low-cut European style silhouette shoes can take on all your casual needs during your vacation.

Since even sleek sneakers are bulky in your suitcase, wear these on the plane. I took a white pair of Superga’s on a recent trip and found them to be very comfortable (I have very narrow, hard to fit feet) and able to work with most of my daytime summer outfits. Being white, I’m happy that the Superga’s are washable (use cold water and air dry).

The Shoes To Pack

Ladies, Corso Como’s ballasox are about to become your new best friend. These foldable flats come in a carrying case that will reduce your shoe packing to the size of grapefruit. Better still, they’re cute!

Again, to keep them working with as many outfits on your trip as possible, pick a neutral color. I choose the Felicity in black and found it worked with every summer dress I had packed and were comfortable to wear all night long.

The shoes are hand assembled and made of buttery soft leather with a soft, form-fitting sock like liner. It truly feels like you’re wearing slippers.
