Sony adds extras to Jacksons 'This Is It' concert film for DVD release

Michael Jackson’s This Is It was originally planned to be released on DVD by Christmas but has been pushed back until January 26, 2010.

When the movie’s two-week limited run in theaters was extended by a month, the DVD date was extended as well.

This Is It has taken in more than 240 million worldwide and Sony is hoping the added features of DVD version will help bring in even higher amounts.

The This Is It DVD version will include an hour of never-before-seen bonuses while the Blu-Ray version will contain 90 minutes of extra footage.

Fans will get to see inside the making of the movie, auditions, alternate versions of videos along with cast and crew memories of Jackson. There will also be    two documentaries, “Staging the Return: Beyond the Show” and “Staging the Return: The Adventure Begins”
