A book to 'teach' common sense (prevention)
Here we go again; another new diet is making the rounds. And once again, it is anything but new.
The 400 calorie fix diet was founded by Prevention Magazine and even though the book has yet to be released, Rachel Ray has a guest appearing on her show tomorrow stating she lost 6 pounds in just 2 days following the diet.
And while all this sounds wonderful the fact is the diet is simply eating four 400 calories meals a day for a total of 1,600 calories per day.
So, basically this new diet is nothing more than portion control and/or calorie control: exactly what nutritionist have been saying all along!
The 400 calorie fix diet book does come with a lot of 400 (or near 400) calorie recipes and ideas on how to lower restaurant meals to help dieters to stay on track.
And of course, the 400 calorie FIX diet also encourages exercise which again is something everyone know will help them lose weight. It also has a 2-week quick slim plan for faster results.
So this new diet comes down to watching ones portions/calories and get moving, nothing new there.
Here are three of the 400 calorie fix diet recipes, two pasta options, a pizza and a treat along with their calorie content.

Something has to work. I am sick of low carb. Which I lost 167 pounds over 3 1/2 yrs while working out almost five days a week... we need a pill to kill our appiotites WITHOUT causing heart, liver and blood pressure problems. I tried MERIDA. It was GOD SENT! However, I had no appitite and left the food store with nothing in my hands. Usually I get cake and or something fatty. The makers of MERIDA told me to stop it because that was a SIDE-EFFECT of the pill. It wasn't suppost to do that. And it can raise BP.
If It wasn't for the BP raise - I would have continued it... all diet pills effect the BP and heart and kidneys and liver... what's that telling us??
I think the pills are telling us WE need to eat less on our own! I use a salad plate for my dinner plate and don't eat after 6 - Joshua you need to be proud of what you have lost and keep on working at it without pills.
Try these recipes, they don't seem like enough to me though.
Great job! Thanks for the info.
