If you missed Diane Sawyer's interview of Al Gore today on Good Morning America, then you missed the former Vice President taking some real heat-- the kind that's not caused by carbon.
Methane was a hot topic as Diane Sawyer alluded to the fact that the amount of methane gas created from cows is "20 times more damaging" than CO2, a direct challenge to the global warming guru. Sawyer then presented Al Gore with a Glenn Beck clip where Beck called out Gore on his meat consumption.
Al Gore's response:
[Laughing]: "Well, you know, there is a serious issue about the connection between the growing meat intensity of diets around the world and damage to the environment. That is a legitimate issue. And like a lot of people, I eat less meat now than I used to. I'm not a vegetarian, don't plan to become one, but it's a healthy choice to eat more vegetables and fruits. So it's not a laughable issue."
Laughing-and-meat-eating Al Gore prefers you neither laugh nor eat meat.

The IPCC, which Al Gore has said made 4 unanimous decisions and they were all correct, saying that the number one cause was the world wide meat industry. Accounting for 18% of all AGHG production. Transportation is the cause of only 13% of all AGHG production.
Has Al Gore given up meat? If that is the number one cause? Why not?

How lame are you that believe in GW and yet don't even know what the IPCC report says? Did you not read the report? Unlike the health care bill, it's been out there for years for you to examine. Yes, yes methane gas is a bigger greenhouse gas offender than carbon. Does all methane come from cow and human farts? NO! So why don't we all stop eating meat? Solved that problem! Oh, wait a minute. Cows have the ability to turn grass into protein and humans don't. Ok, we will get our protein elsewhere. Turns out that cows are the biggest and best source of protein on the planet. Strangely they seem to serve no other purpose. As a side note, water vapor is the biggest greenhouse gas offender. Yes, the evil water traps heat on the planet and is killing us all! We most stop using water! We have been in a cooling trend the last two years and the sun has had the least amount of sun spots in recorded history. Its just a coincidence.
Once the cow farts are under control, and we stop eating meat, and then we eat all that fiber in a veggie based diet, you mean we won't fart anymore? Or...we'll have to go to, so we don't harm the planet?
Oh, and who will be able to "take out" all the cows, when we don't love them any more? natural attrition? PETA...think before you speak...but then, they aren't known for that anyway.
