Charice Pempengco is on her way to becoming a household name in the United States. In addition to appearing in Fox's hit comedy, "Glee," Charice is filming a role in "Here Comes The Boom" with Kevin James. Today, Charice has added yet another huge project to her already busy schedule.
The Filipina singing sensation has been selected to perform her country's National Anthem at the Manny Pacquiao-Shane Mosley showdown next month. The fight will take place at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 7.
According to a report from ABS-CBN News today, Pacquiao personally selected the 18-year-old to sing “Lupang Hinirang" next month.
Charice has been spending time in Boston filming her new movie as well as in Los Angeles for her role on "Glee." In addition to her acting gigs, the talented singer is also finishing up her new album. Collaborations with Nick Jonas and Bruno Mars will be featured on the upcoming project.
