POWER UP, the LGBT film company and advocacy organization, has announced its 2010 Amazing Gay Women and Gay Men in Showbiz.

The award recognizes gay women and men who are making an impact on the entertainment industry. The awards will be presented at the 10th Annual Power Premiere Celebrity Gala on November 7, 2010, in Hollywood, California. The honorees are:

Women:

Ali Adler  -- Writer --  2011 marks her 20-year writing career that began on the original Beverly Hills, 90210. She has also written and produced Just Shoot Me and Family Guy, and was executive producer on Chuck. She currently is co-executive producer on No Ordinary Family.

Tabatha Coffey  -- Reality Star --  helps struggling salon owners turn around their businesses in her Bravo series Tabatha's Salon Takeover.

Savannah Dooley -- Writer --   a writer-producer on ABC’s Huge, a drama focusing on teens at a weight-loss summer camp. She also wrote and coproduced Snapshot, a queer short that premiered at Outfest 2010.

Clementine Ford -- Actress --  Actress and daughter of Cybill Shepherd. She has appeared in the films American Pie and Bring it On. She also had roles in the independent film Last Goodbye and the slasher flick Cherry Falls. She was on The L Word and is currently on The Young and the Restless. and is staring in POWER UP’s upcoming feature film Girltrash: All Night Long.

Tracy E. Gilchrist -- Writer -- a self-confessed cinephile with a degree in film theory from Mount Holyoke College, has been SheWired’s editor in chief since its 2008 inception. Formerly worked as senior editor for LesbianNation.com. 

Christine Moore -- Director
-- noted for her artfully gritty and unflinching directorial style. Her directing credits include The Wire, Treme, CSI NY, CSI Miami, The Beast, The Cleaner, Jericho, Law and Order: Criminal Intent, Three Rivers, and The Whole Truth.

Martha Sanchez -- Talent Manager -- client list includes some of the most recognizable names in the GLBT community. At Shelter Entertainment Group she advises the Meredith Baxter, Jessica Clark, Cathy DeBuono, Natalie Garcia, Anthony Pazos, and Suzanne Westenhoefer, among others. She also is a producer of independent gay film, including Where The Red Buds Grow.

Elizabeth Sarnoff -- Writer -- graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts then moved to Los Angeles and got her first job writing television on the Big Apple. After two seasons on NBC’s Crossing Jordan she became a writer and producer on Deadwood. For the last five years she has been a writer and executive producer on ABC's Lost.

Kirsten Vangsness -- Actress --  She plays Penelope Garcia on the CBS drama Criminal Minds. Originally, the role of Garcia was scripted as a one-episode guest-starring role, but her popularity led to her being a series regular.

Kathy Wolfe -- Distributor --  Founder of Wolfe Video which began as a small mail-order distribution outlet for LGBT films. In 25 years Wolfe has grown to be a distributor of LGBT themed films on DVD and video on demand via the Internet and television.


MEN:

Howard Bragman -- Publicist -- producer, author, speaker, activist, and educator, has been practicing his craft for more than three decades. Currently chairman and founder of Fifteen Minutes, a boutique public relations agency,  and was also one of the founders of PMK/BNC, entertainment public relations agency.

Duncan Crabtree-Ireland -- Attorney -- is deputy national executive director and general counsel of Screen Actors Guild, overseeing Guild legal affairs and strategy and related areas. Along with actor-comedian Jason Stuart, he cofounded the SAG LGBT Actors Committee to advocate for workplace nondiscrimination for out LGBT actors.

Wilson Cruz -- Actor --played Rickie on the series My So-called Life, and Angel in Rent in its West Coast premiere and then on Broadway. On the big screen he starred in such films as MGM’s Supernova and Disney’s Nixon, and Warner Bros.’ He’s Just Not That Into You.

James Duff -- Produicer -- is the executive producer of The Closer. His writing credits include The D.A, Enterprise, Felicity, The Agency, Wolf Lake, Popular, The War at Home, and Doing Time on Maple Drive.

Keya Khayatian-- Talent Agent --  is an agent at United Talent Agency. He represents directors and writers.

Mark Noble -- Producer -- is senior field producer for Access Hollywood, the daily entertainment newsmagazine show, and guest correspondent for TV One Access, the monthly spin-off showcasing black Hollywood. .

Peter Paige -- Actor --  is best known for his five-year run as Emmett Honeycutt on Queer as Folk. He has numerous film and TV credits, including Ping Pong Playa, Our America, and guest star/recurring roles on CSI:Miami, Grey's Anatomy, Related, Will & Grace, and others.

Howard Rosenman  -- Producer --  one of Hollywood’s first openly gay producers, executive-produced Common Threads: Tales From the Quilt, winner of both an Academy Award for Best Documentary and Peabody Award; The Celluloid Closet, nominated for an Oscar and won him his second Peabody; Paragraph 175, about gays in the Holocaust.

Michael Sluchan -- Network Executive -- is vice president, original scripted series programming, at USA Network. He developed and oversees production on Royal Pains. He is the current executive on In Plain Sight and oversaw Monk, The Starter Wife, and The Dead Zone.

Steve Tyler -- Actor -- He has done more than 30 films and television shows and 200 commercials, and was the Kool Cigarette Man in billboards and magazines worldwide. Tyler also has more than 40 theatrical productions to his credit.
