Many media sources already have shots of Nurse Jackie’s gay kiss; seems like television is warming up to two men making out. Gossip Girl is another show placing one of its hunky male stars in homo-erotic situations. Is it because these shows are now targeted at the gay community or is it that television is now a gay commodity?
Peter Facinelli and co-star Haaz Sleiman, who plays a gay nurse, are puckering up for an upcoming episode.
What do we feel about this gay-kiss trend? Is it a positive reflection of the times or is it a ratings scheme with a circus aspect to it? Perhaps both…perhaps.

you set up an either/or fallacy. maybe TV is just growing up.
When I read things like this I feel like I am in high school reading notes passed in class by 14 year olds, not a legitimate adult news story. Jeesh.
It wasn't really even a kiss. The set up is to make Mo's (Haaz) boyfriend jealous, so Facinelli's character grabs Mo's phone and takes a picture. Basically, it was just their faces pressed together - no tongue, no longing looks in each other's eyes, no real affection - just friends. I just hope the story evolves and we get to see Mo in a loving situation at some point (or at least without a shirt!).
Oh, whatever. The kiss had already aired by the time this article went up, and within the context of the storyline, it was hardly as sensational as people are making it out to be.
