Despite what you have heard in the song “Party in the USA”, Miley Cyrus has never heard a Jay Z song. Well, then why sing about it? Couldn’t you simply change it just like you have done live before? You could have added Dolly Parton, or Katy Perry, or Rihanna, or Eminem; take your pick. It comes to show that:
a) Cyrus doesn’t take music seriously
b) Cyrus only looks at marketing
c) The song was obviously released/written with Jay Z in it because of the success of the two first singles and the album sales of The Blueprint 3.
She goes on to say she’s never heard a Jay Z song AND that she doesn’t like pop music (let’s not even think about the fact that she thinks Jay Z is pop). Cyrus also adds that “Party in the USA” isn’t the type of music genre she listens to. What?!!
This entire interview makes her sound completely detached to what she’s doing and “adding” the song because she needed something to go with her clothing line, is not a good excuse…

was she high when she did dis interview since when has jayz is POPmusic she'd be better off saying that she doesnt listens to rap music rather than pop music dude u sing pop music and this is coming from a fan of hers
Samuel. You're a funny dude. You really thought that she cares about her music? She is just a performer. How else do you explain some Disney kids being 'proficient' in singing, acting, modelling etc? She is honest enough to say that she is a selling act. If you didn't know that, then suffice it to say you have no idea about marketing to begin with. And Jay-Z is a pop artist. Blueprint 3 is pop album and if rappers like Ja Rule and 50 Cent are called pop for performing with Ashanti, Justin Timberlake, J-Lo, Olivia then Jay-Z having performed with Beyonce, Rihanna is as 'pop' as they come. His albums don't say anything new and he can't even outsell a rapper who has been out of the public view for 5 years and has his album leaked two weeks prior to release. Sure Miley is acting immature because well, she is a teenager. But what's your excuse?
Oh she does listen to rap. She was jiving to Eminem's crack a bottle at the MTV movie awards.
