Did Adam Lambert rip off Sam Sparro? (new single premiere)

RCA 2009

Adam Lambert’s new single premiere!!

Adam Lambert’s official new single (apparently we don’t want to acknowledge #50 debut this week of “Time For Miracles”) “For Your Entertainment” premiered today and it’s rather good. Some people are comparing it to, fellow-out Aussie artist, Sam Sparro’s “Black & Gold”, and although it is similar, it’s a good jam.

You compare:

Now, let’s talk about the single-cover. Why couldn’t the CD cover be that one instead? I know Adam wants to be glam and make a point, but come on, it’s like a smurf puked on your photo after doing ecstacy and having jello shooters man. Also, I never got the memo about the Beyonce-glove. But hey, again, he looks good and the track sounds great.

Perhaps he’ll be the actually-gay version of Lady Gaga.

The only similarity is that both will make you dance. But Adam's is a mile better. Sorry but comparison should have not been made as it will not be good for Sparro in the long run.

Sam Sparro worked on parts of the album for Adam. see www.aceshowbiz.com/news/view/00025257.html

Sigh this piece of crap examiner again. Now we have GLBT bashing Adam. But no surprise there. Keep eating your own and whining when "America" isloates you. Get professional help, Adam is not your potential new bf or your bitch, bitch. Nice way to support GLBT.

The only thing similar is the synth beat. Which is a pretty silly thing to use for basing accusations of theft. Go back and study music, if you ever did; or start for the first time. Percussion (basis of the beat, even if this is synth) often sounds similar, from song to song, for some songs.

Song he worked w Sam Sparro didn't make the cut. see mjsbigblog for complete list (almost complete). And about the comparison, yeah, both has the same beat; but hell all percussion sounds the same.

Why are we deffending this kid like there's no tomorrow? Adam has yet to prove himself, especially to those who don't watch American Idol. Take a pill ppl, it's not like he's introducing a new sound. I totally hear the similarities. And who said that just because the artist is part of the GLBT community everyone part of that needs to think they are great and support them? Media Bias you are very ignorant for saying so.

Thank you! (and Joan)I'm sorta sick of having to like somebody just because I have to. No thanks!

Adam is a great kid, at least he seems to be, and I wish him loads of success, but c'mon! He ain't all that.

Lots of songs sound alike. There's not enough similarity here to be too concerned. Besides - Sam worked with Adam on the album - I'm sure he would have spoken out if he felt Adam or the song writers of that track were ripping him off.
