This weekend is going to a bittersweet at the Bridge Theatre as Peaches Christ winds down her summer movie series – her 12th and final - this Friday and Saturday.
But Peaches has promised that this “ain’t the end of her.” She bring her movie adventures to other venues in the future.
And Peaches isn’t going out without a bang. This weekend brings the return engagement of Cassandra Peterson and this time she will be in full make-up and costume as Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, screening the movie of the same name.
So not only will Peaches and Elvira relive some of their best moments touring together, but this weekend will also have a great Q&A with Peterson and a meet in greet after the screening of the show.
And if that wasn’t enough, there’s more. Peterson worked with Peaches Christ’s alter-ego Joshua Grannell on his first feature film, “All About Evil” and they will screen an extended trailer for the movie audiences.
“All About Evil” will likely be released in 2010 and the advanced word is it’s terrific! Everything you’d expect from a camp/horror film loving drag queen whose friends with Elvira and John Waters!
So this may be the end of Peaches Christ’s summer Midnight Mass movie series. But like anything of quality and that demands a sequel, Peaches will reinvent herself and movie program and come back stronger than ever – with a little help from her friends.
