The Bridge Theatre's midnight movie series starts this week and kicks off with Linda Blair in person to present "Roller Boogie" on Friday and "The Exorcist" on Saturday.
Hostess Peaches Christ's Midnight Mass movie series in San Francisco will certainly keep things lively as she has for the passed 12 years.

On Friday for "Roller Boogie," we're treated to one of Blair's clunkers that came out during the height of the disco craze. Throw in some roller skates, and you've got yourself a movie that should be in a 1979 time capsule.
And while the film may be forgotten or dated, it did introduce the world to one of Cher's disco club classics, "Hell on Wheels."
The evening also has a serious side. The hero outfit Blair wears in the film will be auctioned off and the proceeds will benefit the animal charity Blair started, the Linda Blair WorldHeart Foundation.
On Saturday, July 11, the Blair tribute weekend continues with her ultimate classic and Oscar nominated performance in "The Exorcist," declared one of the greatest horror films of all time and did quite well at the box office unlike "Roller Boogie."
While it's harder to poke fun at "The Exorcist," there will likely be several audience members screaming out "Mother, make him stop!" or recreating some of the movie's most famous scenes that will likely involve pea soup or crucifixes. Don't be surprised if Peaches Christ doesn't have her own fun plans to honor the star.
But one thing for sure: Both nights will include a Q&A with Blair as well as a meet and greet.
