Slim Boot Cut jeans by SACRUE
I love my body but I want to appear balanced when I wear jeans. This question was sent to me by Olivia of Silver Spring, MD. I met up with Olivia for consultation followed by personal styling and this is how I solved her problem. Olivia is 5’7, full in the hips and lacks a full bottom. To get Olivia to understand her problem I told her to wear the jeans that she normally wears when we come together for her personal shopping day. After talking to her during consultation I recognized her issue right away. Olivia tends to buy jeans that are cute on the rack versus what’s best for her shape. During our shopping day my goal was to show her that you can look just as fabulous wearing what compliments you versus what you think would look good on you.
After she tried on the jeans I suggested and she saw the before and after it was emotional for her. This made me very happy because I love bringing out the best in people through wardrobe. If you too have this problem stick to dark washed jeans that are slim in the thigh, low to medium waist and tapered or boot cut in the leg with medium/large size back pockets. TIP: 1.Small back pockets best for women with a fuller bottom. 2.Med/Large back pockets create a fuller bottom. Note: You will know when you have on the right jeans because they will compliment you rather than highlight a problem area. Also, when it comes to your wardrobe DO NOT settle for less. If your size and fit are not available DO NOT buy something to substitute.
